Remarks :

NISM is an educational hub of Securities Market. The faulty and mentors assigned are experienced and help students in every aspect of their journey. I opted for this college because of my interest in securities market. The topics taught here have provided me not only with book knowledge but also industrial interactions have given insights about what exactly happens in the real world.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are various topics taught ranging from quants, mathematics, accounting, law, valuations, and all major topics related to the securities market. The good aspect about this program is that you can fully utilise the 2 years period to make yourself industry ready which I personally felt was very essential for a fresh graduate. Weekly industry interactions have been of great help when it comes to making your dissertation projects and regular presentations. The ratio of faculty per student is quite low which is an added advantage.

Internships Opportunities :

The companies that came to college for internship were broking houses AMC and many others. The projects assigned for internship helped in the next half of the college curriculum.

Placement Experience :

Students are trained for campus placements ranging be it for CV writing GD-PI how to present yourself in front of the interview panel. The alumni meet held helps one to interact with the seniors and understand the company requirements and processes.

Campus Life :

The books and journals available in the library are great. An added advantage of being and NiSM student is that you get access to Bloomberg terminal. There are various clubs created by faulty and students for our entertainment. The annual fest includes sports and cultural activities around the month of August which help the students to bond with each other.

Hostel Facilities :

As far as the hostel is concerned it is on twin sharing basis and cleaning is done once a week by housekeeping staff. There are some rules which need to be followed but yes you can easily enjoy your hostel life. The food is good and hygenic and sometimes tasty. Meals served are breakfast lunch dinner and tea/coffee is served twice between 2 lectures. But they are made available on at the timings allocates. But yes after a while one does get bored eating the same food. The only negative point I felt was cleaning was not up to the mark in hostel room by the cleaning staff one needs to make their own arrangements if he/she is cleanliness freak.

Interview Experience :

During my interview process, there was no GD but instead, there was an essay writing conducted majors topics were related to the basic market knowledge. The interview panel consisted of 5 professors. My interview lasted for 15 minutes. The questions were about my CV, what I have studied till now, which is my favourite subject (answer wisely because this is from where your entire interview will go forward). Rest of the questions were HR questions i.e tell us about your strengths and weakness, how did you come to know about this course.

Visit the academic office in the college and procure the prospectus. Fill the admission form available and submit it on the spot. You just need 20-30 minutes to fill the form. The management committee is very helpful if you don't understand anything and will provide you all the knowledge required. You can also submit the application form online with the application fees. Later, you will be called for an interview round and you will be offered a seat based on a lot of undefined and unknown parameters. Also, the best part is that they provide you the feedback in detail just in case you got rejected by the college.
