Remarks :
Generic Indian engineering college, more effort on money rather than providing industry competent education.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum and exam structure are based on AICTE norms. It is a bit outdated but still relevant and the emphasis on research is low. Also, the exams are conducted by the University which is not 100% fair at times. Industrial visits were a part of the 4th year curriculum.
Placement Experience :
The placement was non-existent in the college. I did not participate in any campus placement drive and there were no internships offered by the college. Since no electronics companies came for placement, there was no preparation given to students for potential interviews.
College Events :
There was only one cultural festival held every year. Usually the fresher's party. Other than that no other technical or management festivals were there. The farewell party for seniors was a smaller affair, only 4th-year seniors and 3rd years participated.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure was simple, semester wise tuition and transport fees were collected by the college every semester. The exam fees were also taken at the end of exams with no hidden fees. One-time library fees gave access to all 4-year textbooks and reference books.
Campus Life :
Laid back campus life with the large ground. 80 boys -20 girls gender ratio. Students from all over India with some foreign students from Nepal and Uganda. Sports competitions were organized regularly but no robotics or debate competitions were organized. Since there were less interactions among students in regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics, and economic status, there were no such issues as fights or intolerance.
Alumni/Alumna :
The seniors were a mixed bag. There were some seniors very helpful and supportive of juniors while some seniors were troublemakers. One senior paved my way for core electronics where I am right now.
Admission :
It started with a visit to the campus. Reviewing the infrastructure and the labs, I saw the whole campus. Then I filled out the admission form, attached documents, and paid the fees for 1 year. After that, all the documents and fees slip was submitted to the admin office to get admission.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college was the run-of-the-mill postgraduates who had little experience in the industry. All the learning was given for cracking the exams and little mentoring was given for research. There were exceptions now and then but still, the level of faculty was appealing.
