Remarks :
Postive and negative are two sides of the same coin. There's a lot of pressure on studies. It's good in terms of getting better marks but leaves us with little time on our hand to have fun or learn something extra
Course Curriculum Overview :
The exams and labs are frequent and the day lasts from 8am to 3pm after which we're free. The course is strict and the teaching is regular. Feels more like a school in many aspects. Exams are regular, 2 midterms and one external University every semester
Placement Experience :
Placement in overall is really good more one of serious can easily bag atleast 2-3 offers easily from campus. I myself had 5 offers from campus and 2 off-campus. The placement director is one of the most hardworking person I know till date. Our college and even the curriculum of University doesn't allow a term long internship but yes three 2 months short duration internships are compulsory for getting your degree.
College Events :
1. Freshers day - which has a full set of cultural as well as fun events for freshers to get more involved into the college 2. annual sports - which has more that 10 indoor and 5 out door sports competation. the annual sports is treated as intra-departmental competation in which at the end of year one class of any department wins the class of the year trophy 3 annual cultural fest - a week long cultural fest for college students as well as inter college competations. last days is kept as DJ night ( concert) 4 national paper presentation / project competation - conducted each year under IShrAE cell. about 150 participants were present in these competation in 2018-19 acadamic year
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees is feasible and comparatively competitive. It still depends on individual and "expensive" is subjective. Some might find 1 lakh expensive but compared to other colleges charging upwards of 4-10lakhs per annum it's reasonable
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college has loan facilities and also scholarships. It varies from few 10s of thousands to full coverage. Being eligible boils down to financial state, social caste, and also academic capabilities.
Campus Life :
gender ratio 75-25 ( B vs G) for mechanical engineering which not so good. however the other departments have around 50-50 ratio with each batch of 400 students including all departments. there are lots socities which student can part of such as Cultural commite, MESA, sports commite, IShrAE, GO-KART CLUB, CODING CLUB, etc. students are mostly from maharastra state and mainly from pune and mumbai. however the groups are very friendly and also accomodate the outsiders quite easily. there is no racism or any Ragging case seen in last few years.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network is small but present. The seniors are helpful. There's also association with companies like Google, Amazon with the various college clubs. Seniors organize various technical events for us juniors to educate us.
Admission :
I went through the interview process based on my JEE mains rank. You could either apply via REAP central admission process using JEE mains rank, or could show up for in person interview for the remaining seats after those filled by REAL
Faculty :
The faculty are well qualified and have vast knowledge on subjects. They are also strict and insure proper completion of courses. They take note of each and every student. Faculty ranges from few having great attitude, to some being like robots
