Remarks :
Join if you are interested to work in computer science domains. There are no opportunities for students working in electronics or mechanical streams. Chances of placements are also low for those students. But you'll get much better exposure & support if you work in any sub-stream of Computer science.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course Structure for CSE & ME is good, but not for ECE branch. Courses are scattered instead of being in a coherent manner. Also the courses contains many obsolete things. Also the workload of CSE students is much lower than ME & ECE students.
Placement Experience :
Most of the students (here), work in software/IT domains irrespective of their branch. It is how the culture of the college has evolved. The placement cell works pretty well to fetch jobs for students. They also conduct training activities & mock interviews to help students get familiar with the process before their actual placement. But most(>95%) of the companies visiting the campus hire for software/IT domains.
College Events :
We celebrate all the festival such as Onam voshu Christmas holy and everything we can enjoy. Especially one day trips. We have a good auditorium and we can have the partys and celebrations there.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is little bit expensive. I payed 530000 for three year. This includes hostel, food, and tution fee. The food which provided in gostel is so pathetic. Mostly we eat from canteen.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is a tata samarth scholarship program for financially weak students it gives around 20000 annually directly to students. Other than that financially weak students also get some money through government, this amount varies according to category.
Campus Life :
We have facilities for nearly all of the sports. There are 3 Badminton courts, 2 Basketball courts, 2 Volleyball courts, one Tennis court, Squash court, Cricket ground & a Football field. Also we have facilities for Table Tennis. There is one gym in the sports complex, and one in the girls'hostel.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel seats are limited and alloted using cast based reservation norms provided by government. One room is shared by four students. The rooms are spacious and has four shelfs, beds, chairs and tables, two fans and three lights. Washroom is shared in 6 rooms. There are lot of private hostels in campus as well costing around Rs. 30000 annually.
Alumni/Alumna :
We have our Alumni association which works well to bridge the gap between alumni & current students. Alumni visit the campus frequently and interact with the students and give them insights about their work & the environment towards which we are heading. Most of them are also available on LinkedIn so students can contact them whenever required.
Admission :
This college is in Maharashtra state. Thus the only way to get admission is through state's own entrance exam I. e. MHT-CET, you should have cleared class 12 or equivalent as a prerequisite. After clearing MHT-CET, you have to go through Centralised Admission Process CAP. Rules for which tend to vary every year so you should look it up on official website.
Faculty :
Most of the faculty members teach, just because it's their job. No extra effort is made by faculties to make the courses interesting and/or useful. (There are few exceptions) However pretty much all of them are ready to help you outside the classes (Again there are some exceptions, in ECE dept. )
