Mukesh Singh's Review On Bihar Agricultural University - [BAU] Sabour, Bhagalpur

Remarks :

The university has 6 colleges and 12 research stations spread in 3 agro ecological zones of Bihar. It is approved by ICAR. It is also an ISO 9000:2008 ceritified university. Dr Ajoy kumar singh is the current VC of the university.

Course Curriculum Overview :

B.tech in dairy technology, bsc in horticulture, agronomy, plant pathology, entomology, bachelor in veterinary science, Msc and P hd are also available. All the courses are approved and designed in a proper way.

Placement Experience :

Most of the students prefer to go for higher studies. Placements are ok. Some of the students are not selected on campus but they get a job somewhere else. Highest salary was 3.5 lakhs per annum last year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Bsc fee is 1300 per month course duration four years. Msc fee is 11000 per annum course duration is two years. Phd fee is 14000 per annum. BVsc fee is 7000 per annum. Scholarships are also given on the basis of academic performance.

Campus Life :

Seminars and workshops are held from time to time. Labs are properly maintained with all the necessary equipments. Days like sports day, teacher's day are celebrated. Less extracurricular activities are held.

Admission :

I had given BCECE exam and got admission in this college through counselling process. The admission process is smooth. One has to show the intermediate certificates and marksheet with required subjects and marks to complete the admission process.

Faculty :

The faculty members are cooperative. They are well qualified and experienced in their respective subjects. But they are less involved in extracurricular activities, lab works etc. They donot conduct any type of doubt sessions.

Placement Experience:

Students in their final year get job offers and placement. There is an average package of 3 lakhs offered to many students. Higher than 80 per cent of students get job offers and are placed in different industries. I pursue MBA after my B.Sc. Agriculture for a more good salary package.

Admission:

There were two authorities who used to take our entrance exam. One was Bihar combined entrance competitive exam for 85% of seats and for other 15% All India Entrance Examination ICAR was responsible for it. Both the entrance exams were tough. But as I had good command on my 12th PCB syllabus and some information on agriculture field I passed the ICAR exam with flying colours.

Admission:

The age of the student for getting an admission should be a minimum of the age of 17 years. They should have given their 12th examination for any recognized Board or University. Students are selected through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination which is conducted the Govt. of Bihar every year. Or one can also give the All India Entrance Examination which is conducted by ICAR.

Placement Experience:

The placements records of the institute are remarkable. All the students who are placed have a minimum package of Rs.3.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs per year. The institute has made us industry-ready by conducting various training sessions during our graduation
