Vikash Rathore's Review On Vishnu Ayurveda College - [VAC], Palakkad

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum of our college is well managed and is very fruitful for us. The college has 4.5 year course and 1 year compulsory internship. The course is very well managed. We have regular practical classes and even at college hospital.

Placement Experience :

College has its own 60 bed hospital. They recuit few students and others purse higher education and can practice on their own and open their own clinics. 1 year compulsory internship is given to all students, stipend for that is not given.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The course fee for BAMS is 1,99,415 rupees. And for NRI quota seat it is 3,00,000. Fee is bit expensive but as per course curriculum and education it is fine. The fee for hostel and other expenses are not included and are charged as availed.

Campus Life :

College organizes many extra-curricular from time to time and encourages students to take part in them. The gender ratio is more of girls than boys. The labs of the college are well managed and are equipped with modern facilities.

Hostel Facilities :

College do have hostel facilities for both boys and girls. There is 300 bed hostel for girls and 60 bed hostel for boys. The rent for 1 month is 1250. And 15000 yearly for mess. Hostel has good infrastructure and is well managed with all facilities.

Admission :

I got admission to this college based on NEET score. Admission is given to students based on NEET score or entrance held by KEAM. A student should have Physics, chemistry and biology in their 12th. After NEET i applied for counseling and based on that I got admission in this College.

Faculty :

Our faculty of the institute are very well educated and well experienced. They come from well educated fields and experience of teaching from many years. They hold various high education degrees and posts of assistant professor. They are very good at teaching and help us at practical sessions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think we have a best curriculum. It includes all the aspects of the medical science. It includes some irrelevant topics like miscellaneous also. But it's good for us to learn about that all. There is internal exams as well as yearly exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i really like the modern approach of this course. the way it's modern but also keeping it to ancient way of treatment is quite wondrous to me. really like the new curriculum, as it increase our engagement withe the course and the required patient-doctor approach. i think the exam aspect could be improved, as we give exam every month, then term exams twice, then one university exam. the difficulty level is only upto the terminal exams in my opinion.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose this Course as it is Emerging more Effective in the past Few Years and I believe I could contribute more in this field. Moreover I was Interested in the Ancient Cultural form and the uniqueness of the Science of Ayurvedic Medicines and Treatment Methods. There are 14 Departments in the College including Both Clinical and Non Clinical aspects. Each Department Has about 6-7 Faculties Incuding HOD, Assistant and Associate Professors. At Present there are 5 batches of Students in the Undergraduate Course Excluding the House Surgeons. So about 360 Stuents total. There are about 200 Students in Various Post Graduate Course. The Faculties are appointed through Government Exams and Interviews and are Eligible after the BAMS degree and PG Qualification in respected departments with Experience of teaching. The method of teaching is very Systematic with periodic assessments. As per new NCISM rule term Exams are once in each 18 months and Can be passed through Systemic studying and activity.
