Amit Lonare's Review On Central Institute Of Tool Design - [CITD], Hyderabad

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course curriculum is of 1.5 years i.e., 3 semesters in total. The students are taught about designing, manufacturing and production of jigs, fixtures, dies & moulds, press tools, CAD/CAM, CAE, VLSI & embedded systems etc.

Placement Experience :

There's a project work assigned to students which is kind of an internship for 5 months time on which students are marked. Apart from that, students are prepped well so as to get placement after completion of their course.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The institute charges Rs. 35000 per semester for this course. Since there are three semesters, the amount totals upto Rs. 105000 for a duration of 1.5 years. It is quite expensive and can't be afforded by everyone.

Campus Life :

This course is different from a regular post graduation degree and therefore the main focus is basically on development of skills for a specific career. No such extracurricular activities are conducted for them.

Alumni/Alumna :

The college has its own alumni network where you can register yourself and stay in touch with your batchmates as well as the college. The seniors are extremely helpful in nature and always help out their juniors.

Admission :

A diploma in mechanical engineering, tool, die & mould making or equivalent is the eligibility criteria for taking admission into this course. Interested students can submit the application form along with fees either online or through demand draft.

Faculty :

The faculty is well learned and educated in their respective areas. They are all specialized and have in depth knowledge about their subjects and therefore impart the same to the students in the hope of teaching them something worthwhile.

Admission:

Admission is on the direct basis, there is no entrance test required. The college is pretty flexible in the admission procedure.

Placement Experience:

Placement is quite ordinary in our institute. Many well known companies from our domain visit our campus. Some of these companies which visited during my batch were Pepperfry, L&T Construction, Krishna Mehta associates and more.
