Remarks :
Some things are so impressive about Fergusson that exam results are given within a month of your exam, best infracture also best managment by college faculty but for office work you have to do some extra work it is so short timed some times if you are engaged in class at the same time you have to do some office work then you have to miss some classes.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is the best. It always keep students busy in study. There are two CE (internal exams), practicle exam and final that is main exam. Internala are for 25 marks each ani final for 50 marks.
Placement Experience :
Simple graduation doen not provied you well paid job, it is the general truth in India but if you do your graduation from good college then definitely you god ways as well as ideas that you can use in anywhere to get a good job as well as opportunities to even start your business. In Fergusson college there are some opportunities of placement of companies like DSHAW, Accenture etc. Some offers min. of rupees 2.5 lacs annual payment.
College Events :
There are always something going in Amphitheter (Auditorium) but main function for any Fergussoniun is the annual fest which basically held in last week of December or in first week of December. In which 1) Departmental fests 2) Cultural programme 3) Traditional day 4) Tie day or Saree Day 5) Science exhibitions
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is so affortable to any student who wants to take admission in Fergusson College. For B.Sc it is nearly 5000 for per annum and for B.A it is 6000 per annum and for vocations subjects like photography and computer science it is nearly to 30000 rs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are some scolarships offered by Pune university for students as well as students can get scolarships by various private organizations like Weikfield etc. Scolarship offered by Pune university is Savitribai Phule scolarship which is of 12000 rs and can get once in your graguation.
Campus Life :
You are offered by so many extra carriculum activities like NSS(National Service Scheme), NCC(National Cadate Corps) also you can enjoy so many sports. There is a specific department for all sports activities and good infracture is available for most of the sports like basketball, football, cricket, vollyball, kabbadi etc
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel has very good infrasture. It is basically the old infrastructure but well maintained. Each student get a single room to live and having a common bathouroom. You get a 24*7 water also fro drinking you get filtered water. There is a mess near hostel for boys as well as for girls hostel. There are so many strict rules for hostel.
Alumni/Alumna :
There is no any special facility offered by college to be get connected with alumni students but if you make some good contacts with your senior then it could be so helpful for you. Seniors are so helpful like they help you in college fests also guides you.
Admission :
I got admission in Fergusson college by enlisted in merit list. Merit list is listed by your 12 th percentage and for those who having grades then it must be converted into percentage and then it is listed in common list and those who are enlisted in merit list then can get an admission.There could be more than one list, if some students do not take admission who are listed in 1 st merit list then next students are preferred. There are around 600 students for science field and nearly the same for arts.
Faculty :
My college faculty is doing good to give the students best from them. Also it is negligible issue that some are teacher has old teaching style which have to be improved but most of the teachers are sharp and knowledgeful. Studenta must have to keep in their mins that they always have to be in touch with teacher whomever they want. They guide them very well that students will definitely do good in their lives.
