Remarks :
Overall a good college with almost all the facilities in decent fee structure. Other colleges tend to be expensive. Here you get a Good environment to study in and is just 2 km away from Kolhapur city.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Ours was a full time course with college timing being 10 - 4. We had about 3 - 5 lectures and a practical of 2 hrs. Lectures were regular and attendance was compulsory but our practicals were not supervised by our staff on most days leaving us all by ourselves to do anything but study with good PC's and good network.
Placement Experience :
When it comes to placements our college was not the best in Town. But it did bring some decent companies and provided job opportunities to most of us. Companies such as Rhealtech, GTL, Clickit, Sharda Infotech, etc visited our campus during our selection. I was selected in Clickit which provided stipend of 6000/ -. Other companies like Rhealtech provided 15000/ - stipend.
College Events :
Our university conducts a lot of events each year for all the departments. We had Computer day, Technical Day, Cultural day etc celebrated in our department. We hosted inter college events which had various competitions like quizzes debates programming, gaming, app making competitions.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Our fee structure was very cheap and very nominal compared to the other colleges. We had fee as close to 28000/ - per year for 3 years each. the course duration was of 3 years with last 6 months as internship period.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our college had facilities to support students from lower backgrounds. There were facilities for student loans and also earn and learn programs. But I am not aware of the details as I never opted for any of these.
Campus Life :
Our university has a very spacious and cool campus with a lot of Greenery and a few lakes as well. The Labs are well equipped classroom are clean and bright. We had sports ground and all the facilities that a college should have.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, they were. Our alumni were very helpful and also our college organizes alumni meet every year to encourage the students and boost their vision to find their dream job. We have a alumni group made on WhatsApp through which we all stay connected to each other and provide any help if required.
Admission :
We had an entrance exam for MCA course. Criteria for entrance was first class or above in graduation for bca/bcs or any other graduation with maths or statistics as one of the subjects. After the entrance the cut off list was displayed. I made through the entrance and got the admission.
Faculty :
Most of our staff was well qualified and were very dedicated to their work. But we had a few of them how weren't up to the mark and were not qualified enough to teach Difficult subjects related to our syllabus.
