Remarks :
The overall experience was good. We got plenty of opportunities to participate and conduct many events. Sometimes the college management was not supportive,or departmental management. But the rest of the faculties support you at everything you wish to ach
Entrance Preview :
Amity University hosts its own entrance examination which consisted of an essay writing,a technical MCQ,and after that an interview. It will be considerably easy if you know the 10-12th basics.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum mostly consists of the uptu subjects,but some of the subjects will defer from that,including the syllabus. Most of the faculties are good,and have detailed knowledge about the subjects. If the students are interested they can teach you upto the GATE level.
Internships Opportunities :
College internship experience is although very bad. This campus doesnt calls any companies for internships. For internships you will have to call your relatives and references. But since I was from ECE, our faculties allowed us to work under any faculty if we have to work under some live project. This was a plus point. The general stipend offered in Lucknow is Zero. Infact you may have to pay a small amount to get an industrial training.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are plenty at Amity University. You will have to go to Noida Campus to get opportunities at various good companies. Bulk Hiring MNCs also come to Noida Campus. Overall package range that is offered at Noida Campus is from 2.4 LPA to 5.5 LPA. In the Lucknow Campus, Amount of companies coming is meager. Most of the companies are based on Lucknow only which give a package of 1.8 lpa to 2.4 lpa,which is good if you are a localite.
College Events :
There are events happening almost every week including events from various departments. The size varies depending on the size of the department. The sports mega event- Sangathan is organised on the Founders Day,and is generally a 2-3 day Event. All of the sports final are played during these days. The cultural/technical event is Amiphoria which hosts all the departmental event combined . About 50-60 mini events combined makes up the Amiphoria. Its a 3 day event,and in the evening Mr. Miss Amity, Fashion Show and DJ Night happens. Anybody interested can attend and participate in them.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is rather expensive,if you are not on scholarship. But the teaching standard that it provides is pretty high than the other colleges,so the fee is considerably feasible. The difference from other colleges is not that much.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarship is given to students who have scored atleast above 85 percent in the 12th. above 85% - 25 % scholarship. Above 90% - 50 % scholarship. Above 95% - 100% scholarship. After this,you will have to maintain your CGPA as well to avail the scholarship during next semesters.
Campus Life :
The campus life is really good. You have plenty of opportunities to upgrade yourself. The extracurricular events are also good.,and happens quite frequently. The gender ratio is about 1:1 !
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facilities are quite good,based on the review from the hostel students. The mess food is available to day scholars by paying a small fee n daily basis. Quality of food is good most of the time,if you are eating there once or twice a week.
Alumni/Alumna :
Most of the senior students are helping in nature. They will help you in studies and course material,and any other help if you need. But like anywhere else,you will have to break the ice.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure is very chilled out. You have the endsem exams,and midsem tests. The midsem tests are to be conducted in a specific week,with the confirmation of the students as well. It depends on the faculty how he is going to conduct the midsems.
