Remarks :
NAAC visited our college and give it a+ rating. Also i found no negitivity in our college. Thus my remarks must be positive. We shared so many memories over there and those are unforgettable which I learnt from my college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Current course is now divided into 6 semester. Earlier it was just 3 years. But now it is relatively easy and good as the pressure of huge syllabus came down. Also there may be some practicum related to the subject you are reading.
Placement Experience :
It is not an engineering college. So placement and job is not related. You need to be graduated to sit in different kind of government exams. If you crack them u get job. That's it. Currently I am doing a government job with the qualification
College Events :
We celebrated freshers, saraswati puja, annual program, sports, and several other cultural programme in our college. Our college website have all the details. Among them i liked the freshers most. Some big artists perform over here.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
As the college is government sponsored the fees are quite low compared to other colleges under the same University. In my time around rs 1500 was charged annually. Also there are few scholarship and consession system if there is any financial problems.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I have not availed it. But there are scholarship like sc category scholarship st category scholarship etc. Some of my mates were getting these so i am little aware of this fact. Also head of the department of your subject can grant little consession of your fees
Campus Life :
The labs are good. Our mathematics lab contains almost 15 computers and all were very operational. We used to write programs in c++ there. Also physics and chemistry lab was very good. All the necessary things were present always. And i have no complaints ever.
Hostel Facilities :
Our college do not offer any hostel. You may need to travel daily or around Barasat station area you may find many room to stay like a group of students can live and study. Generally maximum students daily travel here
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors were very helpful they arranged freshers as soon we got admitted. They help us to get overall idea about our syllabus sometimes sharing their notes or even provides tution. They never did any ragging and something like that. No complaints
Admission :
You need to fill form online for admission. According to merit list College will publish the merit list. And a counselling will be done. It's also done online. You need to pay fees online to confirm your spot.
Faculty :
I studied honours in mathematics and the faculty was very good. There were 8 professors. All of them were friendly. Also we had physics and chemistry in pass course. All the professors were excellent.
