Remarks :

University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata is a renowned university with world class facilities and infrastructure, best faculties from top institutions, best placements and numerous extra curriculars. A B.Tech degree from this reputed institution is a must.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The B.Tech course in our college is very elaborate, with regular frequency tests and other options for practical study and research. There is a heavy syllabus with assignments, practicals, study-works but at the same time our schedule was very elastic and we enjoyed college.

Placement Experience :

My college provides and also arranges the best available internship programs. Most of the students had undergone paid internships during the second and third year of the course. And speaking about job placements, our college made a placement record amongst all the engineering colleges in Kolkata. 99% of the students got placed in reputed organisations.

College Events :

Our college holds a technical fest, a cultural fest 'Ecstacia', various competitions and other events, which are all renowned amongst other colleges in Kolkata. Students from various colleges take part and perform in those events and other famous dignitaries are also called to those events.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Being a private University the course fee is a bit costly, but the facilities provided during the course are the best available. Currently, the four year course costs around 4 lakhs, including all the semester charges, admission, administrative, library and other costs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our University provides good scholarships to students from all B.Tech courses who score a good mentioned marks in the yearly examinations. The University also have ties with banks who provides educational loans to students who want to avail.

Campus Life :

We have seperate common rooms for girls and boys. There are also indoor games facilities like table tennis, billiards, gymnasium, etc and outdoor facilities like cricket, football and basketball. There are also clubs for music, drama, recitation, dance, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

I was not a hostelier but I had heard that the hostel facilities are very good and the rooms are very clean with exact home-like accommodation. There are attached bathrooms with each room, accommodating 4 each. The food is also very tasty and hygienic.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

We have a vast alumni network and a common alumni group through which we can communicate with eact other whenever we want. The whole alumnus of the University- faculties, students and seniors are very helpful.

Admission :

My college holds an entrance exam called 'IEMJEE' as a selection process for admission to B.Tech courses. I took the test and made it to this renowed University. I choose to pursue Electrical Engineering and successfully got into engineering.

Faculty :

Faculties are very experienced and dedicated and at the same time they were very friendly too. They helped us whenever we had any doubt and were very frank at the same time. They encouraged us throughout the course and guided us till the end.

"Inside LNMIIT" : A Comprehensive College Review

Placement Experience:

Placements here are good enough. A large number of registered students placed every year but last year due to recession insitute placements dropped down from around 95 percent to 70 percent, and this thing happened in every college even in IIT's. some students got placed but did not accepted the offer due to low CTC. and the average package was also dropped last year. Highest CTC offered was around 50 lpa and average CTC dropped down to 11 LPA from 15 LPA last to last year. There are various companies came to our college including Media.net, D.E. Shaw, BNY MELON, AMAZON, FLIPKART, EAGLEVIEW, ION GROUP, TEKION CORP, SCHLUMBERGER, HONDA CARS, DELOITTE, IBM and many more, number of offers made for 2024 batch was 330 as per the placement cell data. and from 7th semester students are eligible for the campus placements. My only plan is to get a decent placement in a tech company and no further study plans I have.

Good Placements and Social Life in College.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd and 4th years students can become eligible for placements. there are many companies visited in my college like infosys, wipro, tcs, tech, Microsoft, flipkart, accenture and all. 75% of students got placed. my plane is not only for getting degree my dream is to become a Software Engineer. Highest package is 45LPA and Average package is 10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So basically btech is a 4 year course and there are 8 semester,2 sem for each year. As they need to provide 6 month for each sem according to our calculations but they'll only provide u 4 month for each sem which leads a mental disturbance for students coz there are so many exams in every month of the sem so this is hectic but the examination are not so hard and not so easy and also 75 percent attendance is mandatory for all to sit in exam

Placement Experience:

As earlier said there is a lot of upper hand in terms of placements if we compared it with other private institutions, BITJ has a very good placement cell especially made for Btech placements students starting from 6th sem onwards sitting in cell visited by many different companies with a lot different package. The average package of BitJ is about 900000, especially for the CSE branch and highest, go upto 30lac more depending on individual skills and qualities and about 80-90 % of students got placing every year and the rest go to higher studies n all.
