Deepak Bokadia's Review On KPB Hinduja College Of Commerce - [KPB], Mumbai

Remarks :

The infrastructure is not as good as i thought. The college does not provides any resedential facilities to students as srudents are coming from different countries, states, cities due to this the students are staying as a paying guest.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Bachelor of Financial Markets (BFM) is a three-year undergraduate programme in management. The course offers theoretical and practical knowledge of planning, organizing, monitoring, directing and controlling the capital resources of an organization/ company in an efficient way. The exam structure is as follows:- Firstly there is an internal exam of 25 marks and secodly there is and external exam of 75 marks which brings to the sum of 100.

Placement Experience :

The opportunities regarding placements and job are more as expected. The college also provides internships. I have not experienced any internship but my classmate is doing internship in a company from 2 to 3 month and his revievs are very good.

College Events :

There are many events organized in the college by students. The events are as follows:- 1:- Panaah ( main event of college) 2:- Hinduja carnival ( second main event of college) 3:- Prarambh 4:- Finvestor, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

As compared to other college, my college's fee structure is feasible. The college provides concession to the sindhi category in the college. The fees structure is straight forward to pay the fee in one installment, only by the demand draft.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As i know there are no scolarships offered by the college or I am not aware of that and the fees should be paid by demand draft but there is a fees concession to the sindhi caste. Also the college offers concessions for the railways and roadways.

Campus Life :

As my college does not have science section so there is no labs but we have a separate floor for sports as gymkhana. Gymkhana consists of many indoor games and also fitness equipments. There is also a personal playground of the college.

Hostel Facilities :

There is a nearby hostel just 10 minutes far from the college. I will rate 5 out of 10 regarding infrastructure and facilities. The canteen of the college is mind blowing as there is very cleanliness and also there are muncing options more than an restaurant.

Alumni/Alumna :

The senior students are very helpful regarding studies, sports, and social service and also helps us for planning events. They also helps us to choose interships by their experience amd guides us how to work in a company.

Admission :

Firstly i filled my name in offline form of K. P. B Hinduja college of commerce than at the time third merit list of college my name appears there and secondly i go to college and taken the admission in B. F. M department.

Faculty :

There are many faculties following with management courses, IT coures, mass media course such as BAF, BMS, BFM, B. Com, BSc it, BSc which helps the students to choose their faculty as their talent and needs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is good. They keep their exams well scheduled. The teachers are average and won't say they are great as they don't put much effort because 90% of classes are empty after the first few weeks. Yes there is no minimum attendance But talking about our English teacher she has a PhD in English and speaks well although out of three math teachers. The exams were moderate as compared to NM mithai and Podar. And it wasn't that difficult to pass. Although the invigilators won't leave the classroom for a single second during exams which would make it difficult for copying.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The internal exams are very important to give and also it is very difficult to pass in internals. In the exam, the supervisors are also 2 in each class and they are also very strict. No student can copy in this college. The faculties are also highly educated and their teaching method is also very good. The college has 2 computer labs also.

Placement Experience:

The placement is provided at the end of the particular course. At the time of 6th-semester placement, opportunities are provided to the students of our college. The company that has been visited our college was Cipla, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and many more. Almost every year 70% of students get placement from our college.

Placement Experience:

The college has good opportunities for the student's placement cell which objects to prepare students for difficulties. Some of the companies that visited the campus for placements are HDFC Bank Aditya Birla capital. 42 to 60% of students got placements in campus placement. My plan degree is to pursue MBA from SP Jain College.

Placement Experience:

Final year students become eligible for campus placements from semester 5. There are quite a lot of companies that visit. From companies in the Big 4 to Taj, Wipro etc. I did not sit for campus placements so I am not sure about the number of offers made, salary packages and percentage of students getting placed as well. My plan after getting my degree is to pursue Master's in Business Management.

Remarks:

The college timing should be made more consistent. At least a fixed schedule must be set. Especially the duration of lectures, sometimes we have same subject for two consecutive hours which turns out to be too much.
