All the remarks are good about the government Holkar science college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am having a 3 years degree course in geology. The exam pattern is yearly which means there is no semester system for my course and I give an exam at the end of my year. The exam includes practical exams plus theory exams. The practical exam is of 50 marks and the theory exam is also of 50 marks.
Placement Experience :
There is an internship program at the end of the final year of the course. And also there are placement criteria for students.
College Events :
There is a sporting event, annual day celebration, NCC cadets. There is a particular guest also for each field. Very talented and knowledgeable people come to college and share their experiences and also help us to extend our career in future. They share about there college education too.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is very feasible. Although I'm having 100% scholarship from the government of Madhya Pradesh which is known as Medhavi scholarship program. I didn't pay any of the single fees of my college because I scored 85%+ in my 12th standard. And also if anyone has to pay the fees then also the fee structure is very feasible because it is just 11000 per year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I filled a scholarship form in ky first year of college. Then I have received amount of college fees.
Campus Life :
Yes, there is a campus life in Holkar science college. There is specific laboratories in all of the departments of my college. Also, every proper apparatus is available in every laboratory. There is a sports ground for specific games and sports. There are programs on yearly basis.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, my seniors are very helpful. As they helped a lot for my examination preparation. And they gave me notes also.
Admission :
I opted for a bachelor's degree in geology because I love to study the facts of earth's surface and what's inside the earth. I chose this institution because it is having that old and great reputation since 150+ years and also in Indore, only Holkar college is having the geology branch. In my admission process, I filled the counselling form and I got admission in my 1 round of counseling itself because of my percentage in 12th class.
Faculty :
There are 2 subjects of geology in every year which means there are total of 6 subjects of geology in the whole 3 years. There is daily 1 lecture of geology and alternate day in a week there is a lecture of an alternate subject. I must say that the faculty of geology is best. They are having the theory knowledge plus practical knowledge too. It is the best faculty I have ever known.
