Best arts college

Remarks :

Sir JJ School of Art is the institute I am proud to be a part of. I always wanted to pursue an art program. The Interior decoration program, literally helped synchronise my passion and my source of earning. I am employed with a reputable designing firm, all thanks to unique course curriculum and dedication of our faculty members.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course structure was pretty unique and composed of more practical sessions than the theoretical ones. The practical sessions included the drawing and visualisation parts, along with practising the computer applications and some designated tools which are helpful for a better visualisation.

College Events :

Art exhibitions are organised very frequently in our college. National Art Exhibition, Lalit Kala Akademi are such exhibitions. Apart form these exhibitions, annual day, republic day, freshers day are some of other events which are celebrated here.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

My annual fee was around 75k which was a bit expensive for me, but my parents arranged for it since it was my dream to pursue this particular program. College also offers scholarships for selected candidates.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Merit Cum Means Based Scholarship and other similar scholarships are offered by the University of Mumbai. These scholarships are available mainly for the meritorious students or the students belonging to the reserved categories.

Admission :

Admissions are granted on the basis of basis of MAH AAC which is a common entrance test for Admission To Undergraduate Visual Art Courses. Students who clear the entrance test are called for the interview process.

Faculty :

Faculty was pretty artsy to be precise. They all were pretty helpful and accessible. We learned a lot from them. They constantly motivated us for being more innovative. Their constructive criticism literally helped us grow as an artist.

Placement Experience:

In 8th semester we get placements. Before that we have internship for few months. Both things are offered by college. As per I know, campus placements are not soo good, they can improve on this more. Highest package in the university is almost 60lpa and foor out department it's around 12lpa maybe. I will ve probably doing masters after this.

Admission:

admissions in the college is done by clearing an state level entrance examination i.e. MH-AAH-CET in which a candidate have to score a minimum percentage of marks to take admissions into it. the marks of your HSC or any previous qualifying examination equivalent to 10+2 is also considered while making the list of the final selected students.

Placement Experience:

there is no such placement cell in the college but their are lots of industry people who regularly visits the college and they take students with them to work them in future which is again a good thing about the college. no the college didn't provide any kind of internships to its students nor any stipend amount is given to them.
