A journey worth sharing

Remarks :

Positive is that student gets immense knowledge about the field and practical exposure also. No negative remarks, except the institute is too old, so the infrastructure is not much developed compared to other private institutions.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It is a very good course offering specialisation in fields like 1. Shipping and logistics 2. Port management. Thus there are various job and business opportunities in this field. Course curriculum includes almost every aspect which is necessary for a student to get ready for the practical experience.

Placement Experience :

Average package is 3-3.5 lacs p.a., highest goes till 6-7 lacs. Yes, college provides internship and stipend depends upon your job role. I was export intern at one pharmaceutical company. There i got stipend approx 3-4k p.m.

College Events :

Events like Renaissance, World Maritime Day, Teachers Day, Alumni meet that is Pearl event are celebrated and Industrial visit are kept 2 times a year. Thus the students get practical exposure at visit and they develop their team building while in sports and other Co-curricular Activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. The fees is 20000? per sem that is total fees is 80000?. The fees is kept quite low compared to other private institutions. That's why the fees is feasible compared to other institutions. Thus one can do this unique course at such a low fee.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship is available for the students as it is a government institute. The fee structure is low but still the scholarship is available on the criteria decided by the institute on basis of caste or score in the college.

Campus Life :

Sports activities are good like Box cricket, volleyball and indoor sports like chess, carrom. Other than these there is an event called Renaissance in which all these activities and other startup ideas, quiz competition, singing, dancing takes place.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is too strong and they are at high position in many MNC's and some have their own startups. They always help the new students in finding companies for internship and placement. They also approach on our behalf to several companies.

Admission :

Firstly, CMAT is the entrance to be given to be eligible for the admission and on that basis merit list comes out. The entire process is handled by ACPC. Then once the name is shortlisted you have to pay the fees and submit the documents in the college.

Faculty :

They are highly qualified and most of them are having doctorate degree and more than 10-15 years of teaching experience. Thus they have good knowledge to deliver it to students. And they are always available for any help to students regarding Placement and after graduation also they help the Alumni in building their career.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The placements procedure has not yet started. 6 lakh is the highest package and 4.5 lakh is the average package. Mostly the profiles offered are marketing only. 10-15% of students are getting placements. My future plans after getting the degree are to get exposed to the corporate world.

Placement Experience:

The placements are the best across India. It is only one of the 5 to get audited and officially published. There are two placement procedures that a student goes through. The summer internship is mandatory as per the course, which is supposed to happen between the two years. The placement of the same happens around Nov-Dec in 3 clusters, which is decided as per the batch. Then the Final Placement happens in Second Year, around Feb in a similar fashion. A detailed report of the number of companies and package is available on the website.

Admission:

Admissions are granted on the basis of merit in the CMAT exam. My CMAT score was pretty decent, but still, I have to wait for the second round of counselings. After that, I appeared for the interview round and Group discussion, which was pretty easy for me as I was practicing for the interview round and giving mock interviews.

Placement Experience:

Placements were okayish. Our institute had corporate tie ups with many reputable companies, which they used to invite for the campus placements. Packages offered were also good. the highest package went as high as 12 LPA, while the average package offered was of 4 LPA.
