Remarks :
Our college is very good in matter of education and teachers. But there's lack of exposure, faculty and infrastructure. Now university has bought the land and soon the construction work will also commence in the region.
Placement Experience :
Our college doesn't provide the internship but it is mandatory for practical courses. Students have to get interned and present a report as viva. The placement and job opportunities are only there for MBA. Due to lack of infrastructure and building, many of the companies do not visit the campus.
College Events :
There aren't much events celebrated. There are seminars organized, weekly. Some of the fests celebrated by students themselves but there are not such fests organized like media fest etc. Trips are organized by each department, voluntarily.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is very very feasible. Hostel costs ?4750 for PG students 6 semesters, and MA courses ?3300 per semester. Practical subjects cost ?9000 per semester. Mess alone costs ?2500 per month, as it is private.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The one that I know about is every year forms are to be filled out for scholarship in which your fees is refunded. Each department has 20% of the quota and has to be filled out by the needy ones the most.
Campus Life :
There are not much labs in the university. Due to lack of infrastructure, the campus suffers from lack of labs. Sports day is celebrated once a year. Labs are also not properly equipped esp in dharamshala campus.
Hostel Facilities :
The building of hostel is on rent by the university in Dharamshala. However, the rooms are very fine. There are rooms with the capacity of 2,3 and 4 students in it. Rooms have tiles and solar geyser is also there. Tea is provided twice in a day. There's mandatory bus service for students who go to far campus as two are located at Dharamshala, one at Shahpur and other at Dehra. Students of Dehra campus donot get hostel. Alumni/Alumna :
I haven't found them helpful at all. They're there and can help if asked. Convocation was organized this year after a long time. There are fb groups and pages where alumni can connect with the university however that is not the official page of the university, some random run by students.
Admission :
I got to know about this university from a friend of mine who was already studying here. I filled out the registration form and got myself registered. It asks you to fill all your details like aadhar card number, NAD ID, permanent address, scores of matriculation, senior secondary, graduation etc. You've to select cities of your proximity for the entrance exam. A few days later, admit card is to be downloaded which explains the centre of your exam. Take a print out of it and carry it along with ID proof and passport size photos to your centre.
Faculty :
Faculty of the college is very very good. They're very helpful and supportive. They go out of their way to help students, help dealing them in their complex problems. They never say NO to students who come after the class for doubts.
