Remarks :
I completed my B.Sc. Psychology from M.E.S. Asmabi College, it was quite a good experience. I experienced a lot of fun, gained knowledge I didn’t expect to gain throughout the course. The teachers also taught us apart from academics. Overall, the college was good and helped us a lot in each aspect of our life.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college is affiliated to the University of Calicut and strictly follows the rules, regulations, and syllabus prescribed by the University. The syllabus usually consists of 3 language subjects and 3 core subjects in the starting semester and in mid-semesters of course, some electives are added for the enrichment of knowledge of individuals and in the final year, only core and practicals were duly focused. B.Sc. Psychology was a semester-based course, so examinations were held at the end of each semester i.e, twice a year. Internal assessments by the college were also focused on every semester, to evaluate the performance of the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee for the college is a bit feasible, for my B.Sc. Psychology the fee was Rs. 11,250 charged per semester and for the whole course, it was around Rs. 68,000. The fee for the facilities offered is quite worth it, so I found it to be pretty feasible for me.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are quite a number of scholarships available to be applied for. The college actively supports students in filling out their respective scholarship forms to help them avail of the benefits. Scholarships are also available for the general students, and for minority and SC/ST/OBC, there is a wide variety to choose from. There are also merit-based scholarships available at the district or university level. One can easily find out from the entire list available on the college website.
Hostel Facilities :
The college has 2 hostels, one boy’ and one girls’ hostel respectively. The hostels are quite good, with spacious rooms and tasty food serves in mess. The facilities are quite good and proper rules are amended by the hostel warden to ensure the security of the students residing in hostels.
Admission :
I got admission in the college based on the score of my CET score provided by the University of Calicut. I was eligible for admission under M.E.S. Asmabi College, which I hoped for and so I enrolled for B.SC. Psychology under this college. When I visited the college, I met the faculty and a few other teachers of faculty before admission and took admission in this college. The documented work was easy and not much tiring, it all took just a few hours of the day.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college is very well qualified, knowledgeable and quite skilled with the art of teaching and helping students understand the hardest of the topics with ease. There is a regular assessment by the teachers and the topics found unclear were taught again, for a better understanding of the topic. The teachers were a good source of guidance during the entire course.
