Remarks :

Very Good. Simple living status. Hostel food was very good and cost was very low. We have combination of students from remote village as well from Modern Town. As a result there have a wide range of transforming of cultures.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Very Good. This is 3 years course and board exam conducted every year. There are monthly exams also on each subject on the basis of which internal marks been decided in each year. The average GPA of all this 3 years considered as final Marks.

Placement Experience :

During my tenure there are very Job opportunities. However, I am opportuned to get a Job in 1987 with reference to some reliable source. College give some opportunity of GRE Training. Although I don't got any call for the same.

College Events :

Annual Functions named as Re-union by calling several renowned artists/ singer etc. at college Campus. Lot of Alumnus invited on the same occasion. Apart from the same there are annual sports event and other All India Occasions.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Very much feasible. Hardly Rs.10.00 per month at my time. Don't know about present fees. Several reference books were there at Library. So, even not required to buy all the Books. Practically we buy books jointly.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

At that time we have not enjoyed or heard about such things. At present may be implemented. However, not known to me. Loan was not required for such nominal fees and thus no question of Loan facility.

Campus Life :

There were various Labs such as Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Black Smith, Carpentary, etc. We also have option of various sports indoor & outdoor. Such as Cricket, Football, Table Tennis, Carom etc. Although not so modern.

Hostel Facilities :

In 1st year not got the Hostel. But, in 2nd year we opted Hostel. Hostel infrastructure was very good. All rooms were airy and not required even Fan. Our Hostel building was 3 storied along with Kitchen and Dinning at Ground Floor.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network definitely very poor at that time in 1986. There were neither Mobile nor any such Network as it is now. As a result our alumni network not built as such and hardly have any connection with the senior students or so.

Admission :

Through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. Then counselling according to Rank. Branch of Engineering to be chosen. Subsequently to choose desired college from the listed Govt. colleges. College Fees, Hostel fees are very nominal and thus quite affordable by all.

Faculty :

Very Good. There are 14 professor all together in our Department of Civil. Classes conducted seriously and regularly. All the professor are highly qualified and dedicated in teaching. They mixed with student as a Friend/ Advisor/ and true guide.

Best Diploma college in west bengal

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, students are eligible to attend campus placement interviews. There are so many reputed companies that visit our college for placement like Jindal steel and power, JSW, JSL, TATA STEEL, L&T, Super smelters ltd and many more small companies. AS far as my knowledge concerns the highest package is around 800000 LPA and the lowest is around 250000 LPA. Most of the students get the placement some are in big companies and some are in local companies. As I have selected Jindal steel and power as JE.

Placement Experience:

Our college placement is good .after 5 th semester Pass you are eligible for campus placement. L& T , Mahindra , IBM , Godrej , Acc , EMC , wipro, sanmar grop , sigma ,TATA are visited One student get 1or 2 offers of job Highest package 18,000 and lowest package 9 ,000 and avarage package 12,000 thousand. Many of students get workers jobs few of them are junior engineers. Almost 90 % of students get jobs. My plan after getting a degree find a job from a placement from a reputed company and higher studies.

Top companies like TCS, JVM, Wipro, etc., visit the college but the packages offered are not good enough. But college is awesome. Faculty members are experienced. Companies are visiting the college, but they are selecting a small number of students.

Third best government polytechnic college for computer science and technology.

Placement Experience:

Final year meaning 3rd year. You'll eligible for campusing when you're in 3rd year. I've attended pool campusing (marble box solutions), there are others like Capgemini and apart from that are not that good companies. I didn't get to see good companies coming for computer science. In my class, there were 33 students, 5-6 students got placed and others are pursuing BTech. I'll also pursue BTech now.

Our students union have been closed for two years. Which is not so good for college. There is no principal in our college. So principal-in-charge have see all the things.
