Entrance Preview :

I appeared for jee mains and secured 100 marks in it.It is an autonomous college as well as it is it near to my house that is why it was my first preference.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship is usually of 3-6 months Since I am in second year I didn't apply for internship. I will applly in third year. Here are the top companies and their stipend which seniors told me. Companies like tech mahindra-15000 pm, Infosys - 17000 pm, Accenture - 17000pm, Wipro-15000pm, L&t-16000pm.

Placement Experience :

Students take admission here because of the placements. Placements at KJ Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE) are good and have a track record of placing at least 70% students. Comps and IT being at the top. 95% of the companies are software based companies. Though the average salary is same as any other engineering college that is 3, 50,000/-pa, the highest salary was 9.5 Lakh.Infosys gives 3.5 lakhAccenture gives 4lakhL and t - 4.5lakh

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I don't know much about scholarship or loans available. There are 4-5 scholarship for students who score above 70% in their semester exam .

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel is not that good as college is. Hostel fees is Rs 54000 per year though the canteen food is good and hygienic. Rooms is usually shared by 4 people and room is quite small and painting needs to be done. Usually 2-3 rooms remain vacant every year so

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors are cooperative and helpful. I have seen seniors helping juniors in their project . We also play with seniors in cricket ground .

Faculty :

Faculty are quite good and helpful. Course is also quite simple. Daily home work reduces our burden during exams. Even though the college has a very good reputation in the city and has been always preferred by top scorers, the teaching department is the m

LIFE at VIT

Placement Experience:

Students from the 7th semester onwards are eligible for campus placements. Core Biomedical companies like GE, Medtronics, biosense etc and IT companies like TCS, JIO, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI etc Recruit Biomedical Engineers. Most Biomedical Students prefer Masters over placements. 80 percent of students from selected candidates get placed. Remarks:

Location is most likely a factor for me. It is closed to my home. And the another factor is that, Different colleges offer different programs with their curriculum. For example, as an Engineering student, I had a set of classes that I was required to take, with little deviation apart from electives.

I haven't experienced placements yet. but yes the deserving students get internship every year. The whole staff of this college is very nice.
