Remarks :
The college is good in terms of academics and activities other than it being a little expensive,the college holds a good reputation amongst the industry and the academia.
Entrance Preview :
PDPU usually takes in students on the basis of AIEEE,I scored around 170 and i opted for this particular college because it had specialization in the core branches along with the essentials of the energy sector, so the relevance of Civil Engineering in oil and gas sector made a sense to me.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is dynamic also the curriculum keeps changing as per the industry and the current need of the industry. The faculties are inherent from IITs and mostly emphasize over research based study.
Internships Opportunities :
I have interned in three companies till date,Usually when it comes to our sector the companies do not pay stipend until and unless the job is office work.
Placement Experience :
The students are usually placed in companies in and around Gujarat, to name a few; Futures first, IL&FS,L&T Ecc,Punj lloyd,MEGA,GIFT-CL etc. The highest package as of till now has been 7.5 lacs offered by TCL.
College Events :
The entire academic year is filled with events varying from technical to cultural,The technical fest called tesseract is usually held in the month of november with various exhibitions,workshops for different departments and Paper Poster presentations,participation from in and around gujarat are seen. Whereas the Cultural fest,Flare, is organised in the month of March and has participation from all over the country and is graded to be the best festival in colleges of gujarat.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The Fees are a little expensive but the university offers scholarships based on the merit as well on various student scholarship schemes offered by the government.
Campus Life :
The events are really best in standard. Also the university having a mix of engineering and liberal studies has a mix pot of Talent and Brains.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel that PDPU provides is best in class with a 4 storey usual hostel and a 12 storey high rise building and also the mess food is eatable unlike the rest of the colleges around Gandhinagar. Although the fees are a little high for the hostel ie. aro
Alumni/Alumna :
The seniors are very helpful also the university does not have to impose any anti ragging policy since the seniors are very approachable and helpful.
Exam Structure :
The exams are basically bifurcated into Mid Semesters and End Semester,which are conducted at the interval of two months. The Practical exams are rigorous with surprise tests,vivas and the final practical examinations
