Remarks :

College is very much active and productive in academics, sports and arts. Students need to be much more professional in the field of law. When we take the english language for example, most of our students struggle to cope up with the moot court sessions since they are completely in English. It is to be ratified.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's somewhat easier because of the semester system. 10 semesters are there for the 5 year course. Exams are being held after each semester. There are 60 subjects for 5 year students in the syllabus; which includes BBA and LLB subjects.

Placement Experience :

As a lawyer, we may face a tight competition in the present era for any job vacancies. Advocacy, Advising, Arbitration etc are the crowded and highly competitive fields. College provide internship permission papers and we students have freedom to select the institutions we may feel comfortable.

College Events :

Inter law college moot court competitions, Trial advocacy competitions, International-National Seminars, Inter- Law college football tournaments,College fine arts, Annual sports, etc are the special events that we usually conduct in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is year wise. And it is very much cheaper when compared with private institutions. I heard that private college students pay 35k for a semester. That means Three and a half lakhs rupees for the course. Normal students in our college only pay around 3000 rupees per annum including the exam fees. That means 15k rupees for the whole course. And students having E grant scholarship need not pay any of the above money and get 200 rupees monthly in the bank account.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is an E-grant scholarship available for the students under SEBC category. OBC, OEC, SC and ST category students come under SEBC. These students need not pay any fees for the tution and exams. And they also get 200 rupess monthly as a stipend.

Campus Life :

The moot court facilities are available for the final 3 semester students. Students are grouped to six members. And a moot court per semester in the final 3 semesters are available. A moot club and a moot club Secretary post is currently working under the students union of the college.

Hostel Facilities :

I am a day scholar. Because I live near to the college when compared with other students. Students from all around kerala state do their studies here. There are seperate hostel facilities for boys and girls.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni of the college is very much supportive and helpful. They provide infrastructures and fulfill special needs of the upcoming lawyers and teachers of the college. Many of the members of Alumni association are all around the Globe in the law field.

Admission :

At first, I attended Kerala law entrance examination and then the interview. There are only 4 Government Law colleges in kerala.Others are private institutions. There are 80 seats in each college for the five year course. So, meritwise we must come within those ranks to be admitted in these colleges.

Faculty :

Faculties are exceptionally well and experienced. Most of them are senior law scholars we may encounter currently in kerala. Internal exams and seminars are being timely conducted. Teachers use the class hours productively.

I don't think of anything that should be rectified in the college it's a very professional course and they make study in that way .The only negetiv is that the university exams are conducted in a non uniform way which lead to delay in the result

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus curicullam is actually prepared by the University of Calicut and the affiliation also goes to the University of Calicut. But I have a suggestion that just like B.tech the LLB must want a seperate university for the course. The syllabus and subjects are entirely different from university to universities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The legal profession is a noble profession. Law was treated as the most powerful weapon in our society. So that's why I chose this course. I am very passionate about the legal profession. The teachers provide the fundamentals regarding the legal profession, that is how to read the bare act, how to answer questions in exams etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The academics are more inclined towards the litigation side. There is freedom to answer legal questions according to our interpretation, which is what the profession requires. Marks are not awarded to 'right answers', but to the quality of our interpretation of law. Teachers always teach about the latest developments of a particle section. Famous judgements as well as the latest judgements are taught. Prompt conduction of exams and publication of results. However, revaluation usually takes a couple of months.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell in the department is inactive, though efforts are being made to revamp it. A few companies approach the college under the recommendation of faculty and alumni, a few numbers of students are placed through these interviews. I intend to practice law under a senior lawyer or join a law firm, I have interned with.

Admission:

I got admission into the University based on my score in the Common Law admission test that is CLAT. After qualifying the CLAT I sat for the counselling in which I was allotted a seat in the university. After the grant of seat I was called to complete the procedural formalities for admission. Since it is one of the top law University in the country it was natural for me to opt for it.

Placement Experience:

The University has a dedicated placement cell for ensuring that students get placement through campus recruitment. Not everybody gets a good offer through campus recruitment but I can say that most of the students can get a decent offer. In terms of internship one has too manage things on his own.
