Remarks :
There is more positives about the college which coverup the negatives. There is good infrastructure , good faculties , great educative atmosphere etc and of course there is some fields they have to look after. Overall the this is a 'A grade' college certified by NAAC.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Microbiology is new to the state compairing the traditional subjects there before , as there is a good opportunities ahead. The subject deals with the micro organisms that we cant see with bear eyes , their features , characteristics etc. and the exams were yearly pattern in my time , that is the exams comes once in a year , but now there is semester pattern follows.
Placement Experience :
No placements provides by the college at the b.sc. level and there is no internships as well. The job opportunities aslo is very less after the b.sc. but is increased highly as soon as you complete the masters degree. and there is aslo a internship in the course of m.sc. as well organised by the college.
College Events :
The college named after Dr. Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy, the birth and death anniversary are celebrated every year. There is also a social programme organised by the college every year in winter. A annual programme of the college is a mandatory one to say.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
As a government sponsored college the fees structure is pretty feasible. The fees are relatively higher than the government colleges but much less compairing to the non government or private colleges.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is no scholarships are given by the college directly but there is some good government scholarships are there are provided to the students through the college and there is no loan facility as well provided by the college.
Campus Life :
The labs in this college very good as there is everything you needed. The college is well knowned as they did a great social work every times. There is a annual sports day celebrated every year where a bunch of events are held and many of the students participated in it.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, thers is hostel facilities for those who needed. There is two seperate hostels for boys and girls inside the college premisses and the infrastructure is also good, as there is 24×7 fresh water supply and electricity support. The hostels are secured as well as there is sufficient care takers and security guards.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network are very strong and helpful. The seniors as well helpful and supportive. You gonna find them beside you every time you needed, support you, cares about you every time. They did a great job.
Faculty :
There is one of the best faculties we have on our college, as they not only our teaching stuff but also very supportive, caring. No matter whatever the situation is they will be always with you for help.
