Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was prescribed by the TNAU. The course structure was good and pretty updated. The syllabus was prescribed by the Agriculture University of India.

College Events :

Numerous sport events and cultural events take place throughout the year. Students take part in various activities and we were encouraged by the faculty members to make a balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Students practice their registered sports after the class and participate in different inter-house and inter-college competitions over the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Annual fee is INR 25,000/- which is pretty much affordable. On top of that, students can also avail special reimbursements from University.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Meritorious students are eligible for scholarships offered by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU). I availed fee concession being only girl child of family. There are other grant options that can be availed by clearing the minimum eligibility requirements.

Campus Life :

Campus life is pretty awesome and funky. Our institute has a fair amount of students from culturally diverse backgrounds. During the extracurricular activities, we got a chance to interact with this diverse lot. Infrastructure is very good in our college.

Admission :

Admission to the UG program is on the basis of TS-EAMCET Rank. A merit list is prepared on the basis of the scores obtained in the entrance exam.

Faculty :

Faculty was very much helpful in getting through four tedious years of my UG program. Especially since we all were living away from the home, the faculty was the only guardian and their contribution was definitely not only limited to academics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus framed is based on outcome based learning. There is also different levels in learning that makes students to engage in learning the concept more deeper and clear with their concepts. The syllabus not only includes core subjects but also allied and elective papers. Papers like enterpreunership, women studies and so on are included exclusively. Students are advised to complete online courses, and some extra courses. Faculties are well versed and the classes for immunology and biotechnology are taught excellently. During practical classes staff teach the students in batches so no one is left. Experiments are repeated for students excellence in their practical classes. Additionally students are offered animation course for science content development videos, which makes student to opt jobs related to non-core. The placements are good. PSGR krishnammal is the best choice for Zoology in Tamil Nadu.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 5th semester. But since Psychology students need a masters to work in the field, placement opportunities are less and not sought after also. Many placement opportunity to work as recruiters, hr is provided though.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because chemistry is a good course it had a bright future. The student ratio is 40 in each department. We had only two faculties so teaching is not enough. Yes, exams are very difficult for students because we had fewer teachers so it would be difficult to pass.

Admission:

I got admission in this college based on my marks in 12th standard. I am studying Bachelor of Science in Zoology. Merit list is prepared based on our marks scored in 12th. This is good college in our place and it is women's college which is also suitable for me. Candidate must have studied physics, chemistry and biology in 12th standard for admission in this course.

Placement Experience:

There are many companies which recruits students from our college from various branch. Few of them are Wipro, Sutherland, global services, IBM, TCS, Transworks, wase, KGiSL, etc. Job opportunities for Bsc Zoology students is less. Internship opportunities are not provided by college but help us to find.

Remarks:

Positive - The Library. It is dumped with more than 82k books. With digital library and fantastic reference section. Play ground, gym etc well equipped and nicely maintained. Nice wifi connectivity. Canteen with nominal rate any one could afford. Entrepreneur we have TBI for young Entrepreneurs fully functioning. Negative - Staff have to update or read books before they come to class. Syllabus should match the industrial needs. Labs should be well equipped.
