How is the food and hostel facility at IIM Kozhikode?

Having taught at multiple Indian management colleges in the past, I can say for sure that IIM Kozhikode has some of the most well maintained hostel rooms. ISB is at par with IIM Kozhikode in this respect. 

The hostel rooms at Kozhikode have balconies with a nice view. The surroundings are clean and green. The washrooms, even the common ones, are in great condition. The newer hostels offer rooms with attached washrooms. The rooms are cleaned every day, and the furniture is in good shape. 

The mess offers decent food with limited options. After a while, the mess food becomes monotonous and boring. But eateries are easily available outside the campus. The hostels have a night canteen facility which offers convenient access to snacks at late hours. 

IIM Kozhikode offers good food and hostel facilities, so you need not worry in this regard. 

Food

IIM Kozhikode offers healthy food to its students. The taste might be average for some but mostly it’s liked by the students m. A variety of food is served here daily like Roti, Rice, Cucumber, Pickle, Daal, Sambar, Curd/Butter milk, Curry item, Papad/Crackers, Sweet.

Hostel Room

The rooms are spacious enough for a person.

FPM- single occupancy 

PGP- double/triple occupancy 

Other facilities include Wi-Fi and LAN. Every room has its own bed, mattress,almirah, board,table, chair, fan and bulb.

Hostel

Single sharing hostels do not have any AC or Fridge or other facilities. 2/3 sharing hostels have AC and are a bit more luxurious compared to single sharing.

You should consider the hostel facilities before considering admission here. It’s more tough for PhD students than MBA students.
