How is XIME Bangalore?

AB

XIME Bangalore gets criticized by a lot of students because of multiple reasons. According to my friend, the main reasons for the same are-

  1. The institution does not give due consideration to improving its overall placement record.
  2. The location of all three XIME campuses is unfavorable for good student life. They are located on the outskirts where it is quite difficult to access some form of entertainment during weekends.
  3.  The mess food is below average, especially that in the girl’s hostel. There are common washrooms that are not cleaned regularly. The hostel rooms are small with each room shared by 3 people.
  4. Students mostly end up going for marketing jobs in the end.
  5. There is a lack of playgrounds and extracurricular activities.

Thus, XIME Bangalore has some issues that need to be resolved and the institution should not be your first priority.

Which one is better xime Bangalore or xime Kochi?

It is better for you to choose XIME Bangalore instead of Kochi. The campus at Kochi is comparatively strict with its rules and schedule. They only give importance to academics and do not encourage extracurricular activities. 100% attendance is mandatory here; taking one leave will lose your points and 5 to 6 lectures. So it is better not to opt for XIME Kochi for your studies

My mat score is 631.5 and my percentile is 80. Can I get admission in XIME Bangalore?

Yes, you can secure a seat at XIME Bangalore, as they accept scores above 600. But as a whole, these marks are not good in the MAT exams. It is better to try out other competitive exams or sit for the next MAT exam and score good marks so that you can choose any leading institute.

Can you please set the preference order for the following MBA colleges: IBS-Hyderabad, IMT-Nagpur, XIME-Banglore, Welingkar-Mumbai, Bimtech-Noida?

Honestly speaking all the B Schools you mentioned are just glamorous brand names with no real value. The placement scenario is very pathetic here as the companies that visit are looking for students who can work at fewer salaries. Only the extremely meritorious students get good packages and that too is rare.

So I will suggest that if you have scored 95+ in CAT, then you are capable of more. So work hard and target a better B School next year. Remove these colleges from your list of options and attempt CAT again.

If you are not very sure about attempting CAT again then prepare yourself for a package as low as 5-6 LPA.

How is XIME Banglore and XISS Ranchi for an MBA?

SJ
Shekhar Jha Posted On : May 3rd, 2023
Studied at XIME Bangalore

If you are looking to pursue a PGDM program in HRM or RM, XISS Ranchi can be a good option for you rather than  XIME Banglore. Here are some reasons why:

  • RoI: XISS Ranchi provides a good return on investment, which means that you get a good value for the money you invest in your education. The fees for the PGDM program at XISS Ranchi are reasonable, and the placements are good, with students being placed in top companies in the HRM and RM sectors.
  • Other departments: Apart from HRM and RM, XISS Ranchi also has other departments such as Marketing, Finance, and IT, which are doing well. This means that you get exposure to other fields as well, which can be beneficial for your overall development.
  • Location: XISS Ranchi is located in Ranchi, which is a Tier II city in India. However, Ranchi is a rapidly developing city and has good connectivity to other major cities in India. Moreover, the cost of living in Ranchi is lower than in other metropolitan cities, which can be an advantage for students.

When it comes to other colleges like XIME Bangalore, while the college is good, the RoI is not as good as XISS Ranchi. However, one advantage of XIME Bangalore is that it is located in Bangalore, which is a hub for the IT and startup industry.

If you are considering colleges in Kochi or Chennai for your PGDM in HRM or RM, it is advised not to go for them as the RoI is not as good as XISS Ranchi and other top colleges. Moreover, the job opportunities in these cities may not be as abundant as in other cities like Bangalore or Mumbai.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a PGDM program in HRM or RM, XISS Ranchi can be a good option for you as it provides good RoI, have other departments doing well, and is located in a developing city with good connectivity.

How are XLRI, XIMB, and XIME related? Does XLRI plays any role with XIMB or XIME in placements?

S
Sagardeep Posted On : February 13th, 2023
PGDBM in Marketing & Operations Management, Xavier School of Management (Graduated 2016)

The Xavier Institute of Management (XLRI), Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME), and Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) are all well-respected colleges that share a common heritage. All three were established by the same Jesuit society and have a strong connection to the Xavier or Loyola name. Another commonality between these colleges is that they all use the XAT exam as a selection criterion for their MBA programs.

Additionally, it is not uncommon for faculty members to move between XLRI, XIME, and XIMB. Despite these similarities, it is important to note that each of these colleges has its own distinct functioning and separate placement processes. It's important to research each of these colleges independently to understand the unique opportunities and resources each of these colleges offers.

Should I join IBS Hyderabad, XIME Bangalore, or take CAT again?

DS

It would be better for you to sit for the CAT again. You just need to pay more attention and answer the questions diligently. If you are a person with an 85+ percentile, then you can easily crack above the 90 percentile, which opens ample opportunities, and you can secure a seat in the leading institutes like IMT, XIMB, IMI Delhi, IMI Ghaziabad, and so on.
