How is BCA in University of Engineering and Management (UEM) Kolkata?

RB
Rupohi Bhumik Posted On : January 8th, 2021
Alliance University (2019)

Most of the colleges are good for BCA, provided you attend the classes, laboratories regularly. Your future depends on you and not your college.

One of my friends did his BCA from Gurunanak Institute of Technology. He didn’t accept the job offer from his campus placement. Instead, he opted for a job in Capgemini through off-campus placement. It is one of the best MNCs in the world. So, choose an institute that is Crisil registered or Govt. recognized and work hard on your studies.

BCA - UEM Kolkata:

As for UEM Kolkata, it has a great placement record for BCA. The rest depends on your academic records, preparations, and knowledge.

The table below shows a brief overview of the BCA program offered by UEM Kolkata.

Course Fee

INR 335,000 for 6 semester

If you are looking out for a decent college with good placement, go for UEM, Kolkata. However, you have to work hard to secure a good job.

What are the expected placement opportunities at UEM Kolkata in CSE for a higher mediocre student but ready to take up the hard work?

MS
Mayukh Sengupta Posted On : July 8th, 2021
Studied Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science at University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata (2020)

UEM Kolkata has a good placement record. Many reputed companies like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Turbot, and others often participate during the placement drive, offering the highest package up to INR 72 LPA. You will need a CGPA of at least 6.5 to appear in the interviews.

Here are a few tips from my friends at the institute which may be helpful.

  • First, you should identify your interest in a particular branch and then do internships or short-term courses related to that. This can help you immensely in building your skills, even during the placements, and gives a good impression in front of the interviewers.
  • You should also look for job opportunities on your own. If you manage to get a job even if it pays a little less. You will have a backup.

Hope this helps.
