Which is best among PESIT (south campus), PES University (Banashankari) and PES College of Engineering (Mandya)?

SC
Sagar Chauhan Posted On : November 10th, 2022
BTech from PES University (Electronic city campus)

PES University is the best of the three because it is autonomous, whereas the other two are still affiliated with VTU. Because PES University is an autonomous college, it has a better course than other VTU colleges, and for your information, it is ranked third in Karnataka engineering colleges. However, the only way to get into PES University is to take the PESSAT or KCET; COMED-K scores are accepted in the other two colleges and the KCET.

They have superior infrastructure, resources, and financial resources. PESIT South Campus shares placement with PESIT Main Campus, so placement students from both campuses almost receive equal pay. However, it would help if you score well in either the CET or the COMED-K to be admitted to any of the PESIT south campus branches.

Which is the best, PES University Ring Road campus or Electronic City campus?

AM
Akash Mishra Posted On : June 30th, 2022
Studies at PES University

PES Ring road campus is better. It has a better location. The electronic city campus is situated far away from the main city. The faculty base of Ring Road is slightly better. The Ring Road campus has better extracurricular and club activities as well. Only 40% of the clubs of RR campus are present at the Electronic campus.

The Electronic City campus is still in its developing period. The first outgoing batch of the campus is 2021-2022.

Other than these factors, there are no such differences between the two campuses. Both follow the same curriculum, academic calendar, and have a centralized placement.

Since PESIT and PES University are both on the same campus, will there be any difference in the placement and education in the two? If so, then which will be better?

DD
Devdarshini Dey Posted On : May 28th, 2021
Studied at PES University (2019)

In terms of placements, there is no difference as such- whether you talk about PESIT or PES, both colleges provide good placements.

The students of both universities get to sit together with each other inside the campus. Jobs depend upon how well you perform with your abilities. The better you put your abilities to use, the higher your chances of getting a job are.

Categories

PESIT

PES University

Highest CTC

13.63 LPA

48 LPA

Average CTC

4 LPA

6.8 LPA

Recruiting Companies

Infosys, Byju’s, Accenture, Bosch, etc.

HCL, Capgemini, Honeywell, Mercedes, etc.

But if we consider education, there is a difference that is to be marked. If I talk about PES, this is a University entirely. On the other hand, PESIT falls under VTU which is the South Campus. Now, faculty-wise, both the colleges share a fine set of faculty that can inspire you in many ways. You can end up learning a lot from them.

How does the internship program work in the PES University?

KS
Khushi Sengupta Posted On : June 1st, 2021
B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, PES University (2019)

I have a few friends at PEC. And based on the information I got from them, here are some of the facts about the internship program work at the PES University.

  • Some of the foreign institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University, NTU (Singapore), and some others do take a few of the students from the sixth semester for Summer internship programs. But the students have to pay quite a big amount to avail these internships in these institutions.
  • It is important to note that these internships mainly offer subjects from CS such as Machine Learning and AI. These internship opportunities are limited to students from the CS department only and those few students from other branches who have an interest in programming.
  • However, some Multinational companies such as Microsoft, Goldman Sachs (Software and Business analyst profiles), GE Digital, NASDAQ, Cisco (Software, Hardware, Business analyst and project analyst profiles), Kirloskar, Toyota, TVS visit the campus for hiring students for a summer internship from CS, EC, and mechanical department. Sometimes, these summer internships are also converted into pre-placement offers according to performance.

In the 8th semester, the internship companies visit the campus for placement drive and offer internships as well as a Full-time placement offer. Overall, the placement is good and if the performance of the student is good, they can land in a good place.
