The direct answer to the question is “No”, NIT Trichy does not offer direct admission to any of its courses.

Admission into NIT Trichy is offered solely based on entrance exams. For different courses, NIT Trichy considers scores of different entrance exams-

• For BTech admissions, aspirants need to qualify JEE Main entrance exam
• For MBA courses, CAT scores are required
• For BSc, MA, etc. courses one needs to qualify CUET/ CUET PG
• MCA admissions at NIT Trichy are offered through NIMCET scores
• MTech admissions are granted based on GATE scores.

Hence, the admissions at NIT Trichy are solely based on entrance exam scores. The same may be followed by a GD/PI round.

Life at NIT Trichy will give you both good and bad experiences. So once I made friends there, everything was just awesome, I enjoyed and learned a lot. I loved night strolls on the hostel campus with my friends, enjoying the cool weather during the night after a hot day. Apart from that NIT Trichy also organises many events and seminars, workshops, etc. In my 4th year, my friends and I conducted and completed many projects that helped us with campus placements. 

All I can say is that life is very good at NIT Trichy campus and I cannot forget what I have experienced there.
