Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar today announced that the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani) has signed an agreement with the Indian Council of World Affairs.

New Delhi: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar recently visited BITS Pilani, and announced that BITS Pilani has recently collaborated with the Indian Council of World Affairs. Arjun Ram Meghwal, the minister of law and justice also visited BITS Pilani. 

As per the agreement, five students from the BITS Pilani will get an internship opportunity at the Rajya Sabha, while the institute will be able to organize recurring visits for other students at the Rajya Sabha.

The president and law minister discussed various topics to strengthen the ties between academics and the government, He remembered India’s economy in the 80s and celebrated the journey of transformation that has taken place. During a discussion at BITS Pilani, the Vice-President also emphasized the significant progress made in digitizing India.

Never fear failure: Vice-President 

He emphasized the role of students in shaping the country and mentioned, "I am a product of education, and I truly believe that students at BITS will shape the future of India. One should never fear failure and always be innovative. Students are the ultimate stakeholders of democracy."

BITS Pilani vice-chancellor V Ramgopal Rao and director Sudhir Kumar Barai welcomed all the dignitaries and spoke about BITS Pilani, an institute of national eminence. Rao said,” We at BITS Pilani are proud to share the Vice-President's vision and remain committed to nurturing future leaders who will continue to drive progress and development in India.”

The institute said. “BITS Pilani aspires to become the Stanford of India, a vision shared by the Vice Chancellor, reflecting the institution's dedication to fostering world-class education, research, and Innovation.”
