Union Minister Inaugurates IIT Indore’s New Technology Centre in Ujjain

New Delhi: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has inaugurated a state-of-art technological hub of IIT Indore in Ujjain. On this occasion, he highlighted the importance of the joint efforts of many stakeholders, including the Prime Minister, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and IIT Indore for this initiative.

The Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship Experiential Learning Center of IIT Indore was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and other officials through a video conferencing platform on March 08, 2024.

In a post on X, the Ministry of Education shared, In his address on this occasion, he said that a new chapter of #NEP2020 has reached Ujjain today from this learning center of the 21st century, which will further promote innovation and technology and will establish Madhya Pradesh as the leading knowledge center of the world”.

Speaking on this occasion, Pradhan highlighted the important role of the new centre in Ujjain in achieving the goals outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The center will aim to serve as a key hub to promote innovation and technology.

Adding to his statement, he praised Ujjain's rich heritage of astronomical knowledge and Indian tradition, describing the building of a laboratory complex by IIT Indore as a key step towards rejuvenating science from its fundamental origins. 

Pradhan shared his hope for Central India and Madhya Pradesh to flourish as centres of rooted wisdom and forward-thinking knowledge, indicating a coordinated effort to create an innovative and inclusive future for the country.
