Ph.D. and D.Lit/D.Sc. Admissions Re-Opened in Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Check Last Date to Apply

Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya has re-opened the admission process for Ph.D. and D.Lit/D.Sc. Candidates are allowed to apply for these courses till November 3, 2024. Eligibility for D.Litt.

• The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Management Studies, Humanities, Social Sciences, or any related field.
• They should have gained recognition through their research and should have contributed significantly to knowledge in their discipline. Candidates should also have either published works or contributed to their field over a long period.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Admission

• Candidates who have completed a 1-year/2-semester master's degree program after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree program or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree program after a 3-year bachelor’s degree program or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree with at least 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled/ Economically Weaker Section (EWS)/Staff Ward (SW) of Gurukula Kangri (DU)) marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade are eligible.
• Candidates seeking admission after a 4-year/8- -semester bachelor’s degree program should have a minimum of 75% marks (70% for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled/ Economically Weaker Section (EWS)/Staff Ward (SW) of Gurukula Kangri (DU)) in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
• Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. program with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade are eligible.
• A candidate holding an Acharya Degree in allied subjects which are given in Table-1 with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University/Institution shall also be eligible for registration in Ph.D. degree in Veda, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Jyotrivigyan & Yoga subjects.
• The candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply

Eligibility for D.Sc.

• Candidates must have a Ph.D. in any discipline related to Science, Engineering, Technology, or other allied fields.
• Candidates with 5 years of post-Ph.D. work experience and 3 published research papers in WoS/Scopus-indexed journals are eligible.
• Candidates with 10 years of post-Ph.D. experience in Science, Engineering, Technology, or related areas with 3 published research papers in peer-reviewed or recognized international journals are also eligible.

Ph.D. admission can be taken from the m the office of Registrar, Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), Haridwar by paying Rs. 150/- or by sending a demand draft of Rs.150/- to Registrar, Gurukula Kangri, Haridwar.
