National Institute of Design has released a notification stating that it will be offering Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree programmes at all its campuses.
Previously, the newly established NIDs which include NID Assam, NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, and NID Madhya Pradesh offered GDPD (Graduate Diploma Programme in Design) to candidates who cleared the NID entrance exam.
However, from now onwards the GDPD course will be discontinued and all the GDPD seats will be converted into B.Des seats.

NID B.Des Seat Intake for All Campuses 2020

The weightage allocated to NID DAT Prelims and NID DAT Mains to create the merit list for B.Des and GDPD admissions has been altered by NID admission cell.

NID M.Des Admission Criteria 2020
National Institute of Design made a major change in the admission process of NID 2020 by conducting the NID DAT in online mode.
Furthermore, the NID Admission cell has changed the allocated weightage of NID DAT Prelims and NID DAT Mains for creating the final result and merit list for M.Design admissions.
