An India-Japan Centre of Excellence on technology transfer and entrepreneurship was inaugurated on the campus of IIT Patna to mark its 15th foundation day on August 7, 2023.

IITP Collaborates with Masayume India for an India-Japan Centre

New Delhi: In the realm of education and research, an India-Japan Centre was inaugurated on the campus of the Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IITP) to mark the 15th foundation day. The center was established in collaboration with Masayume India to promote institutional and small-to-enterprise (SME) level industrial collaboration between Indian and Japanese academics and industrialists. 

According to the IIT Patna Director, this collaboration will serve as a hub of knowledge and technology between academia and will also promote joint collaboration for startups and incubation centres.

Mr. Singh has mentioned that the collaboration between the two countries will help to promote the exchange of knowledge between academic institutions. The technical collaboration will also create lots of job opportunities for the educated youth of the country.

The program was inaugurated by the chief director general of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Takashi Suzuki, who hoped that the collaboration would go a long way and will strengthen the cultural and industrial relations between India and Japan. 

Lim Chong Phung, adjunct faculty, at Leikong Chen School of Business, Singapore, has mentioned that Bihar and Japan are connected due to cultural and religious tourism for ages. Collaborations in technological fields and academic exchange are further strengthening the ties between the two countries.

Some of the dignitaries present in the program were Yoshiro Azuma of IIT Delhi, Harue Mitabe and Keiji Nakajima of Sumitomo India, and Suresh Mathur, director, of IIRM Hyderabad, Jaikant Singh and Vinod Singh Parihar of Masayume India. Apart from these, there were lots of academics and industrialists who were present in the program.
