IIT Roorkee Professor Awarded IEI Young Engineers Award 2023-24 in Environmental Engineering; Check Details Here

New Delhi: Ankit Agarwal, one of the distinguished professors at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, has been honored with the prestigious Institution of Engineers (IEI) Young Engineers Award for the year 2023-24 in the field of Environmental Engineering. 

Professor Agarwal was awarded during the inaugural session of the 37th National Convention of Environmental Engineers held at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, on October 26, 2023. He has been awarded a plaque and certificate for his contributions to the field of environmental engineering.

Prof Agarwal has joined IIT Roorkee in 2019. He holds the position of a visiting scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Potsdam, Germany, and is a visiting researcher at the Technical University-Dresden, Germany. The 'IEI Young Engineers Award,' presented by the Institution of Engineers India, recognizes young and exceptional engineers for their significant contributions in their respective fields. This award acknowledges outstanding professionals with the potential to shape the future of engineering.

According to IIT Roorkee director KK Pant, “The institute takes immense pride in Ankit Agarwal's achievements and his dedication to advancing the field of environmental engineering. His research and contributions have enhanced the academic community's understanding and also made a substantial impact on environmental conservation and sustainable practices.”
