IIT Roorkee Placement Drive 2023: 504 Job Offers, 16 International Offers Secured

New Delhi: IIT Roorkee has begun its placement drive, where the students received a total of 504 job offers, including pre-placement offers. Surprisingly, the engineering students secured a total of 16 international offers.

Throughout the placement drive, IIT Roorkee hosted a total of 89 companies. Among these, 27 organizations made visits, offering multiple profiles in two slots. This placement session was held between December 2, 2023, at 6 PM and December 3, 2023, at 5 PM.

Top recruiters in IIT Roorkee Placement included Accenture Japan, Acuvon Consulting Private, American Express, Auronova Consulting, Axis Bank, Barclays, Clear, Demsyt, Edgeverve Systems, Groww, Headout, Hilti Technology Solutions India, ICICI Lombard, Infoedge, Inito, Meesho, Nation with Namo, Palo Alto Network, Samsung R&D Institute, Delhi Schlumberger, Sedemac, Skiify Solutions, Standard Chartered, SuperAGI, Tata AiG, Wells Fargo, and more.

Some of the top quantitative trading firms and global investment managers, including Quantbox Research, Quadeye, Maverick Derivatives, Optiver, Da Vinci, Graviton Research Capital, and Squarepoint Capital, have extended lucrative crore-plus offers to attract top engineering talent from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) during the ongoing final placement season. 

This placement season, which had recently commenced has witnessed the highest offer exceeding the INR 2 crore mark. Notably, Databricks, a US software company, made an offer of approximately INR 2.05 crore at IIT Roorkee for an international role, with the majority of the compensation comprising restricted stock units, the placement officials said.

Meanwhile, several other IITs have commenced placement activities for their engineering students. Recently, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, and IIT Guwahati shared updates on the successful placements of their students.
