New Delhi: The 37th All IITs Placement Committee (AIPC) meet will take place at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna on September 23, 2023.

During this meeting, representatives from Top IIT Colleges in India including IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Mandi will come together to share insights, best practices, and innovative approaches to enhance the placement experience for their students.

The ultimate objective is to ensure that the talented pool of graduates created by the IITs has access to attractive employment possibilities, thus they will talk about how to encourage collaboration between universities, businesses, and recruiters.

IIT Patna is hosting this inter-IIT tournament for the first time. The IITs will go in-depth on a number of topics pertaining to the 2024 batch's placement, including how to improve the employability of the students.

The IIT Placement Committee meeting at IIT Patna is expected to address a wide range of topics, including:

  • Placement Trends: Analyzing current job market trends, salary packages, and employment opportunities across various sectors to tailor the placement process accordingly.
  • Skill Development: Identifying areas of improvement in students' skill sets and discussing strategies to enhance their employability.
  • Alumni Engagement: Leveraging the vast network of IIT alumni to facilitate mentorship, internships, and job placements for current students.
  • Technology and Automation: Discussing the integration of technology and automation tools in the placement process to streamline administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and encouraging recruiters to adopt fair and inclusive hiring practices.
  • Student Feedback: Gathering input from students to better understand their preferences and expectations regarding placements.

“Along with this, significant issues such as persistent layoffs in industries, various joining dates, streamlining the placement process, training and skill development, AIPC's industry rules, and expanding job prospects will be reviewed,” the IIT Patna said.

Three independent sessions make up the 37th All IITs Placement Committee (AIPC) meeting. A tour of Patna and Bihar's historical, cultural, and spiritual landmarks will also be organised by IIT Patna.

In addition, it would show off its facilities and infrastructure to all of these IIT delegates. The IIT Patna stated that it anticipates drawing attention to the institution from recruiters who plan to attend the IIT placement events for this session and the following year.

Over 400 job offers were made to engineering students at IIT Patna this year. The average package offered to IIT Patna BTech Programs 2023 students was 23.09 lakhs per year, and the highest package was 82.05 lakhs per year.
