During the lecture series event at IIT Patna, Ambassador Dinkar P. Srivastava presented the Videsh Niti Distinguished Lectures on the topics of "Oil, Geopolitics, and Climate Change" and "Forgotten Kashmir: The Other Side of the Line of Control."

Ambassador Dinkar P. Srivastava was greeted by Prof. TN Singh, Director of IIT Patna, who also presented him with a shawl, a memento, and a seedling. For more inclusive growth and a powerful voice in international forums, Singh said students should have a basic understanding of India's foreign policies.

Srivastava talked about the causes of the oil crises, changes in the price of crude oil, and how these things affect the world market. He also covered the causes of climate change, its effects, potential solutions, and steps that could be taken to achieve zero emissions and decarbonization.

In his lecture, the ambassador discussed the development of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) over the course of the past seven decades (CPEC). The speech highlights significant events like the "tribal" invasion in 1947–1948 and the Sudhan revolt in the 1950s among others.

Additionally, major events linking the Ayub era, the Simla Agreement, the adoption of an "Interim Constitution of 1974," and the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor were also discussed in the Videsh Niti Distinguished Lecture Series at IIT Patna.
