IIT Patna Offers Free Online Courses on IoT and Machine Learning

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna is all set to offer free online courses known as "Foundation of Cloud IoT and Edge Machine Learning" for the academic session 2023-24. 


The free online courses by IIT Patna are expected to complete in eight weeks. The SWAYAM NPTEL platform will host the online course from February 20 until April 14, 2023. Interested candidates can register for the courses till February 20, 2023.

The objective of the course is to give students a thorough understanding of pertinent technologies, such as the Internet of Things, machine learning, and the cloud, for a variety of cutting-edge edge computing paradigms.

Professor Rajiv Misra, IIT Patna Department of Computer Science and Engineering, will teach the online course. The course is for free to enrol and learn from. However, in order to receive a certificate, participants are required to register and take the proctored exam, which can be taken at any of the recognised testing locations. The exam is optional for a fee of INR 1,000.

The terminology and fundamental ideas behind Cloud-IoT-Edge issues, applications, systems and methodologies that underpin contemporary cutting-edge technologies are thoroughly explained in this course.

IIT Patna Free Online Course: Eligibility 

Candidates intending to enrol for a free online course will need to have knowledge on the basics of computer architecture and organisation, and networking. Although anyone can enrol in the course, it will be most beneficial to students pursuing degrees in electrical engineering, computer science engineering, or electronics and communication engineering.
