IIT Patna JRF Registration 2023 Open; Last Date to Apply is May 14

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Patna has started accepting applications for registration for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the academic year 2023-24. Interested and eligible candidates can enroll for JRF through the official portal, @iitp.ac.in, till May 14, 2023.

IIT Patna has notified that the duration of the JRF post will be 6 months, which can extend up to 1.5 years. The name of the temporary research project is "Deep Inspection on Intra-Variable Handwriting of Multilingual Scripts for Strengthening Behavioral Biometrics".

The sponsoring agency for the JRF post is SRG, Science and Engineering Research Board. The shortlisted applicant will receive a consolidated fellowship /salary of INR 31,000 + 8% HRA.

IIT Patna JRF Registration 2023: Eligibility Criteria

In order to register for JRF post, candidates will have to fulfil the requisite eligibility criteria.

• Applicants must hold an M.Tech./ M.E./ M.S. degree in Engineering/ Technology or in any relevant disciplines of CS/ IT/ ECE/ EE/ Maths & Comp., etc.),with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks. 

OR,

• Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant discipline or an MCA or M.Sc. in a relevant discipline with at least CPI of 8 or 75% of marks with valid GATE rank are eligible to apply for the JRF post. 
• The upper age limit for applying for the above JRF position will be 32 years. 
• There'll be a relaxation for SC /ST/ OBC/ women/ PD as per the GOI rules. 
• Applicants having a working /research experience in the field of Deep Learning and Computer Vision will be given high preference. 

IIT Patna JRF Registration 2023: Selection Process 

• Once the candidates are shortlisted, they will be informed accordingly to appear for the online/offline written test and interview. 
• There'll be no TA/DA for appearing in the written test/ interview conducted by the institute.

• Interested and eligible candidates can apply with their updated resumes. 
• Candidates should illustrate educational qualification (% of marks obtained from 10th onwards), Experience, Publications, Achievements, Names of two referees in the Application form. 
• Along with an up-to-date resume, the online application form named as (SRG_firstName_lastname.pdf) can be sent to the “post applied for” to the email id: chandranath@iitp.ac.in.
