IIT Patna Entrepreneurs-in-Residence Program Admission 2022; Last Date to Apply is August 31

New Delhi: IIT Patna's incubation centre has begun the online application process for the support and prototyping fellowship under the DST Nidhi -EIR scheme of the government of India. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal @www.iitp.ac.in, by August 31, 2022. 

One of the NIDHI projects is the Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIR) Programme of IIT Patna, which aims to encourage the greatest talent to become entrepreneurs, reduce the risk associated with start-ups, and partially offset their opportunity costs of high-paying jobs.

What is the NIDHI EIR Program? 

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) is promoting the National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Discoveries (NIDHI) as a programme umbrella for fostering knowledge-based and technology-driven innovations into profitable startups.

To advance their entrepreneurial career objectives and dreams, innovative entrepreneurs can take advantage of the NIDHI-EIR programme, which provides amazing chances to grow their networks and receive insightful feedback on their projects.

A budding or aspiring entrepreneur who has the potential to pursue a promising technology business idea may be eligible for the NIDHI-EIR Program, which offers entrepreneurship fellowships or grants in the form of stipends. 

IIT Patna EIR Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates seeking admissions into the Entrepreneurs-in-Residence Programme will have to satisfy the eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in science or engineering after completing four years of formal, full-time undergraduate or graduate study (across one or more degree programmes). 
• Candidates must be an Indian citizen 
• Candidates with a three-year degree or diploma in engineering or science who have two years of full-time work experience after earning their degree or diploma are also eligible. 
• The applicant must be prepared to pursue the business idea under NIDHI EIR full-time. It cannot be received at the same time as another remuneration or fellowship. 
• The applicant will have to propose one technology company idea in the specified format and have a formal business plan for the idea they wanted to pursue. 

IIT Patna EIR Admission 2022: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of IIT Patna Incubation Center @iciitp.com

Step 2: Download the registration form (Use Firefox or Microsoft browser for download) and fill all the required details as specified. 

Step 3: Once you have filled in all the details, check and submit the Application form to the email address: nidhieir.ic@iitp.ac.in. 

IIT Patna EIR Admission 2022: Program Benefits 

• A grant of INR 10 – 30 K per month for a period of 12 months will be provided for the participants. 
• Participants will receive guidance from mentors & experts on idea to product conversion, business concepts related to commercialization of the idea.
• They will also get access to co-working spaces and lab facilities for prototyping subject to policies of the Incubation Centre.

According to IIT Patna's official statement, the participants of the course should demonstrate that they have the necessary skills to launch a scalable technology business and present their business plan together with an investment proposal. 

The applicant must be willing to enrol in the pre-incubation or incubation programme at the IIT Patna Incubation Center for the entire duration of NIDHI-EIR assistance, the statement said.
