IIT Patna BTech Placement 2022 Concluded, Highest Package Stood at INR 82 LPA

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna has successfully concluded the placement drive for Btech students for the academic session 2022-23. The placement drive recorded an increase of 74% in pre-placement offers from the last year's placement data. 

As per IIT Patna, the students who joined the placement session were offered with highest salary package of INR 82.05 LPA from top recruiters such as Atlassian, Uber, Flipkart, Indeed, SMS Datatech, Arista Networks, American Express, Publicis Sapient, and Perceptive Analytics among others. 

During the IIT Patna Placement 2022 drive, various multinational companies have offered a salary package of INR 61.52 lakh to INR 57.75 lakh to students. Most of the students were recruited for the role of software development engineer by top companies in India and abroad. 

In addition to this, the average salary package for this placement session stood at INR 28.50 LPA, which is significantly higher than last year's average of INR 24 LPA. Students were also offered various pre-placement offers based on summer internships after the end of the sixth semester.

Informing about the placement data, the officials stated that 61 students have received pre-placement offers from 22 companies for different profiles. The offers have been made from Google for SWE interns, Samsung, Service Now, Twilo, and Adobe for various positions. 

While comparing the placement data, the institute recorded 17 pre-placement offers in 2020-21 session, which increased to 35 in the 2021-22 session. For this year, a total of 61 pre-placement offers have been made to students, which is 74% higher than the previous year. 

Referring to the data, IIT Patna said, “In this session, the institute has seen a growth of 74 percent in terms of the number of PPOs as compared to the 2021-2022 batch and about 16.70 percent growth in terms of average pay packages".

“The top recruiting companies this year were Google; which made 9 offers for SWE interns, Samsung offered 10 jobs, meanwhile, Service Now came up with job offers for 6 students, and Amazon gave four pre-placement offers," the officials further added.
