IIT Madras to Organise “Demo Day” for JEE 2024 Candidates on June 15 & 16; Register Here

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is all set to organise a ‘Demo Day’ on June 15 and 16. During this event, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2024 aspirants can visit the campus to experience what life is like as an IIT student.

IIT Madras has notified the JEE 2024 candidates interested in appearing for the demo can register early on the website at askiitm.com/demo due to the limited availability of seats. During their visit, candidates can interact with current IIT Madras students, faculty, and alumni to receive authentic and up-to-date information.

IIT Madras Demo Day 2024 Schedule 

Aspirants from Bengaluru and Hyderabad regions can attend satellite demo day events at the SD Auditorium of IISc Bengaluru on June 11, and at T-Hub Hyderabad on June 12. These events will witness the presence of senior faculty, current students, and alumni who will provide information as well as answer questions. 

The IIT Madras will conduct an online session for JEE aspirants who will be unable to travel to the institute on June 17, 2024. During this session, Professor V. Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, alongside faculty and alumni will answer aspirants’ questions about both academic life and student life outside the classroom.

What is IIT Madras Demo Day 2024?

The IIT Madras demo day is a part of the AskIITM initiative led by alumni and students. Its objective is to highlight the features that have consistently placed the institute as India's top-ranked engineering institution for eight consecutive years (2016-2023) in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings. 

During the event, aspirants can explore information about the new BTech course in artificial intelligence and data analytics offered by the Wadhwani School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Speaking about the importance of the Demo Day event, Professor Kamakoti highlighted that it is a critical time for young minds to choose their career paths. They deserve to make informed decisions. 

Through the 'Demo Day', IIT Madras will offer aspiring engineers and others a chance to explore its campus and learn about various disciplines before making that important choice.
