IIT Madras’ SWAYAM Plus Collaborates with SmartBride to Enhance Digital Learning; Check Details Here

New Delhi: SmartBridge, an enterprise under Veranda Learning, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SWAYAM PLUS, a project led by the Ministry of Education, Government of India and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras to boost digital learning and offer courses on the platform.

This notable collaboration between IIT Madras’s SWAYAM Plus portal and SmartBridge marks a significant milestone for SmartBridge, reinforcing its commitment to bridging academic education with the constantly evolving needs of the workforce.

Courses Launched by IIT Madras & SmartBridge on SWAYAM Plus

As part of this collaboration, SmartBridge will deliver a diverse range of courses covering topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Applied Data Science, Backend Development using Java Spring Boot, Cyber Security Analysis, Android Application Development using Kotlin, and Android Application Development using Flutter. 

Further, SmartBridge manages six out of the nine courses offered on SWAYAM Plus. Each course is meticulously designed in alignment with levels 5 and 5.5 of the National Credit Framework (NCRF), providing students with hands-on project-based learning opportunities and the potential to earn academic credits.

The SWAYAM Plus platform, managed by IIT Madras, will provide courses covering vital sectors including energy, manufacturing, computer science and engineering, IT or ITES, management studies, healthcare, and more.

Dharmesh Pradhan, Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, said, “The National Education Policy (NEP) is on roll and for the first time, reputed industrial houses will be coming with their own academy, partnering with the UGC, esteemed education departments, and prestigious institutes like IIT Madras. All these courses will be accredited.”

Focusing on project-based learning, these courses provide hands-on experience and are tailored to specific job roles, ensuring alignment with industry requirements and eligibility for academic credits.
