IIT Jodhpur MTech Admission 2023 in Augmented & Virtual Reality Open; Apply till June 10

New Delhi: The Technology Innovation Hub (TIH), IIT Jodhpur, in collaboration with iHub Drishti Foundation, is inviting applications for the M.Tech Program in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) for the academic session 2023-24. Interested candidates can fill out the online application form on the official portal, @ihub-drishti.ai/mtecharvr. 

The School of Artificial Intelligence at IIT Jodhpur is offering M.Tech Admission to the AR and VR specialization for working professionals. Candidates who wish to enroll in the program can submit their applications until June 10, 2023. The program allows individuals with jobs to pursue an off-campus M.Tech degree in AR-VR Technologies, with on-campus immersions limited to no more than 15 days per semester, the IIT-J statement said. 

According to the IIT-J official notification, the M.Tech program in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality is a two-year academic course consisting of 60 credits. The faculty members leading the course curriculum are drawn from different IITs and industry experts. The program emphasizes the importance of prior research exposure and/or industry experience in the field of AR-VR, considering it an added advantage.

IIT Jodhpur M.Tech AR-VR Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Applicants interested in pursuing the MTech in AR-VR must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a scale of 10. However, SC, ST, and PD candidates must have achieved a minimum score of 55% or a CGPA of 5.5 from a recognized university.
• Working professionals holding a BE, BTech, MCA, or MSc degree in any discipline are eligible to apply.

• The selection process for the M.Tech program will involve assessments such as programming and/or written tests, interviews, and any other criteria that the admission committee deems appropriate. 
• Candidates with prior research exposure and/or industry experience in the field of AR & VR will have an advantage. 
• The school retains the authority to establish specific cutoff criteria for shortlisting candidates.
• It is important to note that meeting the eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee shortlisting, as the criteria for shortlisting are often more stringent than the eligibility requirements.

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of IIT Jodhpur at iitj.ac.in.

Step 2: Register yourself by providing the required details, such as your mobile number, email ID, etc.

Step 3: Once registered, log in using your credentials and proceed to fill in all the necessary details in the application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee of INR 300 and submit the completed application form.

Step 5: After submission, it is advised to take a printout of the form for future reference and documentation purposes.
