IIT Jodhpur and MNIT Jaipur Sign MoU with Alliance Francaise Jaipur to Introduce French Language Courses

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Jodhpur) and Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT Jaipur) have partnered with Alliance Française Jaipur. This collaboration promotes French Language Education and fosters cultural exchange within the academic community. The agreement was formalised shortly after the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Jaipur.

Under the terms of the agreement, IIT Jodhpur and MNIT Jaipur will introduce optional French courses accessible to students, faculty members, and their families. The institutes will also provide certificate beginners courses and credit-awarding programs.

Rakesh Jain, Dean of International Affairs at MNIT Jaipur, expressed, "We are proud to announce the initiation of the French language program for students, staff, faculty, and other members of the MNIT community. We believe that learning a new language is not just about acquiring words; it's about embracing a culture, expanding horizons, and fostering global connections."

Surajit Ghosh, Head of International Relations at IIT Jodhpur Faculty, stated, “I am pleased to announce that, in pursuit of our shared goal of fostering collaboration and advancing the French language, Alliance Française de Jaipur (AF Jaipur) has entered into a partnership with the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur). This collaboration aims to provide French language classes to students without French in their curriculum, as well as to the staff, faculty, and other members of the IITJ community.”

Alliance Française Jaipur is well-known for hosting various events, such as exhibitions, seminars, online and offline meetings with prominent French personalities, concerts, screenings of French cinema, certificate french courses, theatrical performances in French, literary readings, and more.

Alliance Française Udaipur Office

An extension of Alliance Française in Udaipur is set to be inaugurated in early 2024. This extension will cater to the entire Udaipur region and its adjacent areas, covering more than 150 higher education institutions and schools and providing online French Courses as well. In collaboration with the Maharana Mewar Public School and the City Palace of Udaipur, the extension will offer French language classes, DELF examinations, and cultural programming. The office will be located in the City Palace of Udaipur, open to the general public.
