Beginning on August 1, 2023, the course offers a single programme that addresses competences such autoML, assistive AI, expanding scalability, and commercialization of ML Solutions.

The curriculum is created to meet the continuously changing demands of business and organisations for data science and engineering. With the ability to work on real-world projects, this programme seeks to develop high-demand skills in Big Data, Data Engineering on Cloud, MLOps, Machine Learning, and AI, allowing students to put their knowledge to use in real-world situations.

Prof. Santanu Chaudhury, Director of IIT Jodhpur, commented on the launch and said, “Data science and data engineering have become some of the most in-demand skills, yet the sector is experiencing a serious talent shortage since there is a shortage of qualified workers. We have created a comprehensive programme at IIT Jodhpur that strives to close this skill gap and support working people in advancing their careers. The best learning experience can be achieved by integrating a variety of real-world industry use cases, workflows, and hands-on experiences from actual data science and engineering practice leaders. This is the first programme of its kind to combine the skills of data engineering and data science into a single course.
