IIT Indore to Set Up Satellite Campus in Ujjain with Central Government's Approval

New Delhi: IIT Indore is preparing to set up the Ujjain satellite campus marking a pivotal moment for skill and education development. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh announced that the central government has approved the project. He also mentioned the advantages of the campus for IIT Indore students, educators, and industrial workers.

The approval of the campus for IIT Indore reflects the government’s dedication to improving the educational facilities. In addition to this, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav briefed Union Education Minister Pradhan about new skill development courses that are offered by IIT Delhi in Madhya Pradesh. 

These courses are Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence at Jabalpur Engineering College, Augmented Reality-Virtual Reality at Mahila Polytechnic College in Bhopal, and Blockchain Technology at Ujjain Engineering College. 

The state is improving skill development with the implementation of the Sankalp Yojana initiative of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, the courses provided by IIT Delhi are designed to train more than 1000 young individuals every year. 

The First Detailed Project Report has been drafted by IIT Indore for the satellite center in Ujjain. The project spans over 100 acres, and the focus will be on international-level research and advanced education in the nation. Not only the educational sector but the new center will significantly contribute to promoting employment and self-employment opportunities.
