New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore is all set to host the India Radar Meteorology Conference (iRAD 2024) from January 10 to 12, 2024. This conference aims to foster the development of radar meteorology within India.

The IITs have been conducting a series of these conferences across the country since 2017. The inaugural India Radar Meteorology Conference took place at IIT Kharagpur in January 2017. This upcoming conference at IIT Indore marks the sixth year of this event.

The conference's primary goal is to facilitate the gathering of experts, researchers, and professionals across diverse domains to exchange their insights and expertise in Radar Meteorology and its practical applications.

The Online registrations for this event commenced on October 20. Notification of abstract or paper acceptance is scheduled for release on November 10, 2023. The online registration deadline is set for November 30, 2023.

The institution has already closed the abstract and paper submission portal on September 30. Nevertheless, candidates have the opportunity to make final revisions to their submissions from November 15 to 30, 2023.

The conference's keynote speakers include Professor V Chandrasekar from Colorado State University, USA, Professor Tomoo Ushio from Osaka University, Japan, and Dr Takuji Kubota from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.
