The laboratory work for Ph.D. students at the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore is suspended till November 25.

IIT Indore has released an official statement on November 20, 2020, stating that five COVID-19 infected people were found in the past eleven days. 

The spokesperson of IIT Indore, Sunil Kumar said that B.Tech, M.Tech, and other regular courses were being held online, and the orientation programme, for the first-year students of B.Tech. admitted this year, was also conducted virtually.

He informed that a total of 351 students were admitted into various disciplines this year.

Indian Institute of Technology, Indore or IIT-Indore located in Madhya Pradesh was established by the Government of India in 2009.

IIT-Indore ranks second after Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal in terms of high quality and prestigious education in the field of engineering.

The Institute offers a 4-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programme for several fields of courses. The admission into this programme is via the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT JEE), and are eligible for the entrance after passing 10+2.
